It's 5 in the morning. The field trip is today, and I'm very excited, may I add.
I ran down the stairs. Mom was going to be home today so she could see me off.
"Oh, honey!"
She embraced me, and I could hear her sniffing.
"Aw, mom. Don't cry. It's only for a few days. Plus I'm going to talk to you everyday."
"Oh, I know. I'm just sensitive."
She paused for a moment.
"You should take a shower too. That perfume isn't doing you too well."
I frowned, and turned towards the bathroom door.
I got into the bathroom, and did my routine before I took a shower. I put my towel over the shower curtain, turned on the heater, let the water run, and turned on my music. Whenever I take a shower, I always turn it on a pop/happy radio station. Otherwise, I feel like if I play death metal, Bloody Mary may come out of my mirror or something.
I stripped my clothes and hopped into the shower. The lukewarm water hit the back of my head, weighing down my hair.
I grabbed my bottle of strawberry scented shampoo and squirted it into my palms. I lathered it into my hair. I heard a knock on the bathroom door.
"Yeah?"
No answer back.
Mom must not have heard me. Her hearing isn't the best...
I shrugged it off and continued washing myself.
I finished up, and turned off the now steaming water.
I wrapped my fuzzy, blue robe around me. It's a little short, but I don't have to worry about anything. I live with my mom, give me a break.
I turned off the heater, and stepped out of my bathroom. The cool, fresh air hit my face and caused me to shiver.
At least I still have 30 minutes before I'm suppose to meet Calvin and walk to school. I still have to talk to him about seating arrangements and things like that.
I started to go towards my room, but I noticed something peculiar.
Calvin was sitting on my couch, face in his phone.
I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to say anything, since he would look up at me. He doesn't need to see me like this! I guess I was taking too long, so Calvin looked up. He blushed and quickly hid his face back towards his phone.
"Erm...hey."
"Why didn't you warn me that you were coming?!"
"I texted you. But you didn't answer, and I got impatient."
I looked down at my phone and saw a message on it.
Calvin: Hey, I'm coming ov...
I opened up my messages so I could read the rest.
Calvin: Hey, I'm coming over early so we could talk about the trip and things. I cant wait(^∇^)
Oh...
"Oh, sorry." I said awkwardly.
"No...it's fine."
Calvin looked up again shyly, and quickly pulled his head down again.
Shit! I'm still in a super short robe!
Without saying anything again, I ran past him and into my bedroom. I got dressed, and went downstairs to eat my breakfast.
