At least that guy I ran into earlier was nice. I feel like I've seen him before. I mean I must know him. He said my name anyways...was he from Japan?

I laid my wrist on my forehead, sometimes applying pressure so it could possibly help me remember.

It's on the tip of my tongue...who is he?!

...wait a minute...

~Flashback~

It was the last day of junior year at high school. We were sitting on a park bench, trying to make the most out of our time together. We wouldn't see each other all summer. His family was taking a trip to Sendai to see his family.

I laughed as he pushed me to the side.

"Oh, shut it Ava!" He said while laughing.

I looked up at him again.

His longish blonde hair was being pushed around because of the wind.

He's so cute...I would be the happiest girl in the world if I were his girlfriend....

"Ava?"

I snapped out of my daydream.

"Hm?"

"I've been meaning to ask you, are you still going here next year?"

"As far as I know. My mom applied to get a journalist job in America, but I doubt that she'll make us move if she gets it."

"Okay good. I would miss your stupid puns and ridiculous pick-up lines." he said while laughing

My heart skipped a beat. His laugh could cure anyone from a case of the blues.

"Thanks.."

We sat in silence for a few moments. He breathed heavily, taking in the warm spring air. He leaned his head on my shoulder.

"I'll miss you over the summer."

"Yeah. Too bad I don't have a phone. I'd call you everyday."

"I'm sure you would."

Another moment of silence.

"Hey Ava?"

"Hmm?"

"I think I-"

He was interrupted by a voice.

"Hey you guys! Wass up?"

My old friend Jamie came running up to us, blabbing about who knows what.

I never knew what he was going to tell me, but that was one of the last times I talked to him before I moved.

Jamie walked with us back to our homes.

We first went to Jamie's house. Her house was the closest, and we wanted her to go home. She got us in enough trouble anyways.

Then, it was just me and him. We walked to me house so he could see me off. He was such a gentleman...

I never got to tell him that I saw moving. I just disappeared out of thin air. I was sure that he would never talk to me again, nor even see me again, but I suppose I was wrong.

"Well, see you later Ava."

"Bye...Ethan."
