If You're Not Willing To Work For It, Don't Complain About Not Having It.
Bursting through the door the first thing that I noticed was how dim the lights were around me. The coldness of the metal freezing against my finger tips as I pressed my hand against the wall.
Taking a deep breath I pulled out the gun that was on the waist of my jeans. As I walked down the steps Kate followed behind me closely watching our backs.
"What are you doing?" She curiously as she looked over my shoulder for a spilt second.
Opening the barrel of the gun I arranged it in a curtain way that I knew would give me the upper hand.
Putting that gun back I then pulled out two others and made sure they were ready to go.
"Playing mind games." Was my response as I worked away at my guns. Even my own voice sounded far away to myself as I spoke.
"Ahhh." Kate drawled out as she looked over her own shoulder behind us making sure no one was following. "Your infamous for that aren't you?"
"The same way I hear you're quiet the fighter." I remarked as I put all my guns away apart from one. Keeping it firmly in my hand ready for anything.
Kate scoffed like she was surprised. "Did Zane tell you?"
"Didn't need to." When we reached the bottom of the stairs there was a door to our left and I rattled the door handle to see if it would open but there was no luck. "I do my own research."
Looking down at my phone I noticed that there was no signal here. Not that I was surprised, the ship was built for stuff like this. Blocking a signal would be the least of its tricks.
"Is that why I'm here with you and not one the guys." Kate grinned but it quickly fell when we heard footsteps coming from down the hall and around the corner. "Shit."
I didn't sense the panic that Kate felt. Calmly I pulled out a lock pick and started working away at the door. Kate braced herself for a fight but there was no need for that just yet.
Within seconds I had the door opened and I pushed her through as I closed it behind me. Pressing my ear to the door I listened for any sign of the person walking by. From the corner of my eye I could see Kate breathing heavily probably at the thought of us getting caught.
After a few moments I heard the footsteps run past but they weren't the only ones. With every passing second I heard more and more and I knew something big was going down on the deck of the ship.
Riker was starting his side of the plan.
Peeking out the door there was no one here and if I was to guess there wouldn't be many left down the stairs.
"Let's go." I whispered as I stepped out through the door with Kate following behind.
"You know you're too calm, it's almost unsettling." Kate looked at me like I had two heads but I could see the excitement in her eyes. She was the type of person that loved the rush of danger there was no doubt about that.
"I've just been in these situations one to many times." Every door I past I ran my hand along the door handles to see if they were locked and they were. Nisha wasn't going to make it easy for me to find her.
"So what's the plan? If you brought me I'm guessing you need me to kick someone's ass."
"Nisha's." I agreed not even trying to hide what my motive was.
"Nisha?" Kate looked like I was crazy. "I doubt she's a fighter. She has that many men around her they probably do that dirty work."
"You don't see what I see." There was no use all these doors were locked she was trying to throw me off.
