Being Both Soft And Strong Is A Combination Very Few Have Mastered.

"If you do this, then they don't stand a chance."

Me and Riker were sitting at the kitchen table hatching up a plan for one of his future shipments. While at the same time I was also doing my own work.

"Got to say you're right on that one." He remarked nodding in agreement before I turned back to my own work on my laptop.

"I'm always right."

I had a meeting tomorrow morning and I needed to make sure I was ready for it. My dad was handing over more control to me and I needed to be there to show them all I was the one in charge now.

Apparently my dad was enjoying his vacation time that much he wanted to make sure it never ended. Not that I was complaining this was what I always wanted after all.

Also I was pretty sure this was his way of making sure I stayed out of anymore trouble. After my whole bust up with Nisha and coming back not completely in one piece, the man just about had a heart attack.

In reality though we all knew Riker's world was now something I was fully in. There was no way I was going to give that all up now.

"What are you doing?" Riker peaked over the screen of the laptop as I typed away. After a few seconds I shoved his head out of the way when I seen that his real aim was just to be annoying.

"It's after midnight, what are you still doing here?" I asked looking at the time on the corner of my laptop. It was rare for him to be home at this time never mind anything else. He was normally at Anarchy right now.

"I'm not needed at the moment Zane and Damon have got it under control." His voice was teasing as he pushed the screen of the laptop down, making me slap his hand away. A throaty laugh left his lips and the sound of it made me squirm.

"So what you're just going to hang around here to annoy me?" Raising an eyebrow I gave him a pointed look as he gave me his infamous grin.

Who knew a look could look so deadly but boyish at the same time. There was always a promise of mayhem behind that look and those stormy grey eyes of his.

"Well all you've done is order me around and treat me like your personal slave for the last four weeks. So yea, I'm due to annoy you." This time he pushed the screen of the laptop down so quick I didn't get a chance to stop him. My eyes narrowed at him in a playful manner knowing I wasn't going to get rid of him.

"I wasn't well." I complained like a child pouting my lips. Something flashed across Riker's eyes as he leaned in closer to me.

"Lyra." There was a dark warning in his tone as he came around to stand in front of me and I wrapped my arms around his neck as he leaned down. "You might want to stop it with the pouting."

His lips was a mere inch away from my own but at the sound of my own name falling from his mouth my pout grew even more.

"What?" He asked seeing my change of mood slightly the amusement never actually leaving his face.

"You call me Lyra all the time now. What happened to the whole Princess thing you used to have going on?"

Riker pulled away slightly laughing but I never dropped my arms from around his neck. He raised his eyebrow and lifted me up from the stool so I could wrap my legs around his waist. When I shifted slightly on badness he sent me a warning look and I gave him a grin.

"You used to hate when I called you Princess." He started to walk around the kitchen table and out of the kitchen. Not once though did his eyes leave my own.
