When You Truly Don't Care What Anyone Else Thinks You Will Have Reached A New Level Of Freedom

It was the heart of winter and the temperatures had really dropped. It was my favourite time year and today was made even better when I had finally got the news I was looking for.

I wasn't surprised at all when I found out where Nisha was hiding her base. It was smart and she knew what she was doing when she planted it where she did.

New York.

Riker didn't have full control over New York so it was no surprise we completely missed it.

It was about 20 miles away from the dock where Riker's did a lot of his overseas deals. The news didn't surprise me but I finally got the information I was looking for thanks to Xavier.

He was really doing a number on Nisha aboard. He was making connections left right and centre and I could just imagine the drama Nisha was going through right now.

She had been quiet for a while which told me she was planning something. She was waiting and watching what we were doing but I would be ready for her.

While she waited though I planned, planned on what my next move would be. There was one other problem I had come across though in this time.

Davis.

That folder he had given us was nothing but shit.

He had tried to play me at my own game. It was a trap that he had set up for us. He wanted me to act on this information so that he could corner us himself.

That night that Riker went with his dad to the plane I had taken Zoe and Archer to make a distraction. The distraction was more along the lines of I wanted to make a joke out of Davis plan.

The information he had given me said that Nisha's base was in the City. Even before Xavier had told me where it really was I had my suspicions about the information. Where he had said her base was close to one of the F.B.I hideouts. Trust me I would know better than anyone what there layout is.

With someone like Zoe on my side nothing stayed hidden. She has hacked into their system more than once so doing it again was nothing.

The three of us had went on a stakeout that night getting as close to the trap as possible. There was men there alright but there was something wrong about them.

There movements were to studied and by the script. They were to act like Nisha's men but they were anything but that. They were undercover cops.

Davis had tried to set us up.

It explains why when he found out about Xavier he had wanted to get the file back so bad. He knew I would find out the truth and tried to backtrack his steps. He knew the odds weren't in his favour anymore and it would come down to timing.

His only chance of getting us was if we acted before Xavier did why he was let out to do.

Davis had tried to get a step ahead of me but he forgot who he was dealing with.

I was Lyra Anderson.

That didn't mean I couldn't still use him though. There was a chance that he knew where Nisha's real hideout was and that was something I could use. I could use his need for success against him by landing Nisha right into his hands. He would do what I wanted even if he didn't know it himself.

Putting the folder down on Riker's table he looked up at me with a curious expression. The room was warm from the fireplace at the side of the room. Even then it was still cold enough to see you breath in the air. It was one of the coldest winters I had ever came across in the City.
