Expect The Bullshit But Never Accept It
"Why the hell do they always use that shitty photo of me."
Out of everything going on right now that was my twin brothers only complaint. If that didn't sum up how mentally insane our family was I didn't know what did.
"I can change it for you if you want." Zoe offered from the other side of the family room. There was an evil glint in her eyes that told me that picture would turn out anything but the way my brother wanted it.
"Let's not hack into the news station." Commented Riker as he sat beside me on the couch, throwing his arm on the back of it and behind my shoulders. "You've already hacked into so much lately we don't need anyone else on your ass."
Zoe waved off the threat like it was nothing, she never did really care about threats like that. "I know how to cover my tracks."
"By the way your still not off the hook." Remarked my brother pointing at me without turning around. "You didn't tell me about this shit before it went down."
"You should be used to being the last to know about everything by now anyway." Riker scoffed beside me trying to hide his laughter but Damon heard it dragging his attention to him.
"And you." Damon said turning around and glaring at Riker. "You're just as crazy as she is for letting her go through with this."
Riker rolled his cloud grey eyes as he brought his glass up to his lips. "I don't control your sister."
"Well someone needs to put a leash on her." Commented Damon under his breath and I threw one of the cushions on the couch at the back of his head.
Me, Riker, Damon and Zoe were all sitting in my house watching the news. Reporters had been camped out my front gates since last night and there was no sign of them leaving. I wouldn't mind completely if it wasn't for the fact that this time we needed to slip past them if we were to get to New York under the radar.
It was just a waiting game now till Nisha made her way out of the City and back to her main hideout. Both Matt and Sky were listening out for the first sign that she was back in New York. Matt had no choice in the matter and Sky had stuck close to her parents like I had asked her too. She was getting as much inside information as she could for me.
Archer was in my garage doing the final checks on some of the cars. The both of us had been working day and night on them to make sure everything was fine for them to go. He was a good partner to work with when it came to cars and the both of us always had mad ideas and encouraged it. I had been helping him design that new car of his and he had been helping me with the technology in my own.
We were a good team and we weren't the only ones that had noticed. Riker had noticed to and often left us to it when he seen the two of us were in the zone.
"Some breaking news has just came through." My eyes snapped back up to the TV and away from my phone at the sound of the news reporters eagerness. Everyone in the room had the same thought because they all froze to, too look. "We believe that we have found out that Nisha Brooks is currently in the City as we speak."
Me and Riker looked at each other knowing this was what we were waiting for. We had wanted them to narrow down the search on her so that she had no choice but to leave. This was it and now we had to take every second as it passed by.
We were ready to move at any given moment.
"Riker." One of the guards that was under Riker's payroll came into the room with a small grin on his face. He knew all to well what was going on and was waiting for the moment just as much as the rest of us. "The reporters are leaving."
