Little Girls With Dreams, Become Women With Vision

"I really don't like this." Said Damon for the thousandth time but I couldn't blame him. We weren't on home territory right now. One wrong move and we could be in a world of trouble.

"Shut up." Responded Zoe but there was no heart in her comment or the fire that there normal is. She was just as uncomfortable as my brother in this situation, in fact I could see it in everyone eyes.

"The fucking asshole better hurry up." Riker sat with his arms crossed beside me, his features hard and serious. He was on edge ready for anything.

Davis had left us in the room by ourselves. Me, Riker, Damon and Zoe. He had asked were Archer was but I covered it easily by saying Zane was going to be here. Instantly his mindset completely forgot about Archer and started asking questions about Zane. The first one to come out of his mouth was where has he been.

That told me all I needed to know. Davis has been trying to track him down himself and by the sounds of it has had no luck. Frankly even I don't know what he's been up to all this time he never told me either. All that mattered though was that he was coming back for us now.

We needed him home and that's where he was coming.

"I knew you missed me Riker."

All of our eyes snapped towards the door where Zane Knight stood. He looked as cocky as ever and in the last few years he looked more grown up just like the rest of his. His cheek bones sharp and his lips turned up into a grin. His light brown hair styled on top of his head and his deep brown eyes watching us all in amusement.

He was broader around the shoulders than he used to be telling me he had been working out over the last few years. If he kept going the way he was going he would soon rival Riker and judging by how tense Riker was sitting beside me he knew it to.

The testosterone just sky rocketed in the room with both Zane and Riker now present. The two of them never got along but I knew they did have a deep respect for each other even if they didn't show it.

"Well this just got interesting." Confirmed Zoe has she seemed to sit back in her seat getting more comfortable, looking amused. All the girl needed left was popcorn so she could watch the show.

My brother Damon on the other hand looked like he was internally freaking out ready to jump at any sign of a fight. At least he had forgotten where he was for a moment and had shut up about that.

"Surprised that you called me back." Zane directed his statement to Riker, trying his best to get a reaction out of him. He knew just as well has the rest of us that it wasn't Riker that called him back. It was me but that didn't stop him from wanting to annoy him.

Riker let out a laugh but there was no humour there. "Trust me I wouldn't want you in the City at all. It was this one that thought it was a good idea to drag your ass back here. Frankly I'm already regretting not stopping her." His voice was harsh and serious which was only making Zane grin more.

Zane then turned his attention to me. I went out with Zane for years when I was a teenager I knew that look at all to well. His next comment was going to push Riker over the edge. I braced myself for what ever he was about to say next.

"Always new I was number one in that pretty little head of yours Lyra. Tell me is Riker just not cutting it for you anymore?"

That was it. Something inside Riker just snapped and he was all but ready to dive over the table to get to Zane. Damon he was sitting on the other side of him must have seen it to because he grabbed Riker by the arm then the shoulder trying to pull him back. I grabbed his other arm but I didn't put any restraint in it at all. Just letting him know I was there and that he needed to calm down.
