The Best Fighter Is Never Angry

Two days have past from everything had went down.

Two days and the pain in my ribs and lungs was something I could never compare. I had broken three of them and the smoke from the warehouse had done a number on my lungs. Bruises and burn marks covered my body but they were long forgotten about because of the pain.

Outside of the house I acted like nothing was wrong. Keeping my head high, acting like nothing was bothering me.

At home it was a different matter.

Riker had called me a baby about a thousand times at this point after I had pulled the 'in pain card' with him anytime I wanted something. I even played the trick on Damon a few times but he had threatened to bring our mom around to look after me if attention was what I wanted.

I stopped being a child around him after that threat. I loved our mom but dealing with her fussing about me every second of the day was not what I needed. All I needed was someone to get my stuff for me when I was to lazy to get up. Not have someone putting me on bed rest for a month.

Currently I was sitting down in the kitchen with the tv on as one of the maids made me my breakfast. Riker had came home about two hours ago and currently asleep. He hadn't been home lately because he had a lot going on. After all there was a shift of power at the moment and everyone was still trying to work it out.

I had stepped away from it all, letting Riker take over.

Well almost completely.

"Where is that little bitch?!"

I couldn't help but grin into my coffee at the sound of Xavier's voice ringing throughout the house. I had already warned my guards and housekeepers earlier in the day that he would be coming and to let him in.

After all the rest of my plan was still unfolding even after Nisha's death.

Xavier burst into the kitchen the guards making it look like they were trying to stop him as a show for him. We were all expecting him after all.

The guards who also happened to be Riker's men glanced at me and I nodded at them letting them know that I'd be fine.

Xavier shook them off him and shoved one of them away from him. He was pissed to say the least. His eyes were wild and narrowed in my direction, his face getting redder and redder by the second due to anger. I had never seen his body so tense before but I knew I could be a master of getting on someone's last nerves.

First though he turned to look at the guards.

"You work for me so you better back the fuck off right now." There was a warning in his voice but he didn't have the power to back it up.

Not anymore anyway.

I had dealt with that too.

None of the guards moved from their spot clearly making a stand. They didn't work for him anymore, none of them did.

I waved them off with the same grin on my face looking amused by the whole situation. "You can leave boys. I think me and Xavier will be just fine by ourselves."

"Who are you to give my men orders? They don't work for you." Snapped Xavier taking a step closer to me on the other side of the table. I seen the guards move slightly but I sent them a look telling them that it was fine.

Even Xavier wasn't brave enough to do something stupid. Not after I had just stripped him off everything. Not when his son was sleeping up stairs.
