"Damn, you look good

"Damn, you look good." Maurice mumbled, watching Robyn as she slowly made her way down the long flight of steps. She gave him a small smile, though she felt uncomfortable because of her stomach.

"You said formal, so that's what I did. I hate this wig though." Robyn looked in the mirror to the left of her, staring at her reflection for a minute. She brought her hand up, playing with her hair slightly and adjusting it to how she liked it.

"It looks fine, come on." Maurice held his hand out at the bottom of the steps to help her down the rest of the way. Robyn blushed once their hands connected, silently thanking him as she made her way down the last steps.

Neither of them said anything, making their way towards and out the front door. Maurice occasionally glanced over at Robyn, taking in all of her body language. He was giving her time to tell him whatever it was on her mind, he even initiated it a couple times in the past days. Yet she continuously claimed it was nothing, brushing off the whole instance.

"You good momma?"  Robyn looked up at Maurice then down at the open car door. She took a deep sigh and nodded, letting go of Maurice's hand and stepping down into the low car. He chuckled to himself while closing her door, this was amusing to him.

Robyn leaned up against the window, releasing a small yawn as she watched Maurice walk around the front of the car. She began to get that same nervous feeling she been getting when with him. But as always, she tried to push the feeling behind her because there was no possible way he knew what she knew...in her head.

"Where are we going?" Robyn spoke up once Maurice started up the car and sped out of the driveway of Robyn's house. He clenched the steering wheel in his hand as he weaved in and out of traffic quickly.

"I just want to take you somewhere. Let's call it a surprise." Robyn felt her cheeks heat up at his words, whatever this was was obviously something special. She didn't know why though because she clearly hadn't been the best wife in the world. But she wasn't complaining, accepting any gesture Maurice did.

She stared ahead of her at all the cars in front of them. There was a sense of peacefulness that filed the car, one Robyn hadn't felt in so long.

"Franklin Park..." Robyn trailed off, looking out the window once Maurice pulled up to their final destination. He looked out of his own window, taking in how different the scenery looked.

"Yup, where we first met." Robyn turned her head to face him, giving him a warm smile. It felt like ages ago since she'd been here, even longer since the day they met.
