"I swear I can't thank you enough-."
"Stop speaking to me." Robyn spat, staring ahead at the blank computer screen as her right leg rapidly shook. He watched her, awkwardly standing not knowing what to do. He knew she wanted nothing to do with him, but she was the only person he could go to in the moment.
"Look, I don't want you feeling uncomfortable so if-."
"I said stop speaking to me Jonathan." He sighed in defeat, turning to walk into another room. It's been a month, an entire month since she broke things off with Chris and an entire month since she last seen him. He didn't come back like she thought he would nor did he persist in getting her back.
On one side of her, she was a bit upset that he just allowed her to leave like that. She expected more, a little more that solidified that he actually cared at least a little bit. But she fell short to that. Then on another side she was grateful he respected her wishes. Not necessarily because she wanted him to, but because of the new problem that was thrown on her hands.
About a week after everything, she was home and heard a loud, but frantic knock on her door. At first she assumed it was Maurice being that only him, Desi, Jonathan and Marie knew her address. Her and Desi still weren't talking, Marie was around less because she needed to tend to the baby, and as far as she was concerned, Jonathan was dead...but she was surely mistaken.
Flashback
"What the hell, I'm coming!" Robyn yelled out, rushing towards the door once the knocking got harder and louder. She looked in the little mirror that sat next to her front door, making sure her hair was good and there weren't any stains on her teeth. Taking a deep breath, she swung the door open, eyes nearly bulging out of her head at the sight, more so person, that stood in front of her.
"Please, let me explain." Robyn looked at him as if she seen a ghost, because in her head she was sure of it. There was no way he was here standing at her doorstep, not after what Maurice had Don and Blade do.
"How are you- what-." Jonathan pushed past her, walking deeper into her house. Robyn hesitantly closed her door and turned around, seeing that he was already watching her. She was confused but shocked in the same breath. She didn't know if she was happy to see him, or ready to place a gun to his temple and finish what Maurice thought he started.
"It's a long story, but to answer any questions you may have about why I came here...it's because you're the only person I could turn to. Everyone else is dead and if I went to my direct family, word would've spread that I'm alive. Then Maurice would've really killed me and I- I can't have that happen." Robyn rubbed both of her eyes, making sure she was seeing and hearing correctly.
