"You look so beautiful." Marie gasped, taking a step back to admire Robyn's entire outfit. She wore a silk dress that was nearly see through, showing off her beautifully toned figure. It was simple, but loud, the perfect outfit for her.
"Me? Look at you, got a 2 month old and the body is still giving." Robyn complimented, a genuine smile on her face. This was how all of Robyn and Marie's interactions went, a good 5 minutes of complimenting each other before they could do anything else.
"Well shit, you don't see nobody else?!" Blade spoke up, reffering to him and Don who both stood there looking lonely while the girls engaged in conversation. Robyn looked past Marie, a bright smile covering her face once she fully seen them.
"I'm sorry." She said in a small voice, opening her arms to embrace Don first. It was short and sweet, just like the hug she gave to Blade. It was kind of weird to have them there without Maurice, but it was best he didn't come.
She was thinking about calling him up to invite him, but remembered she was still trying to get over him. The sight of him alone would have her running back into his arms like they never stopped anything to begin with, and that's what she didn't want to happen. She missed him like hell, but didn't want to seem easy.
"This hoe jumpin, y'all said it was gon be something little." Robyn's house was packed with people, from the front to the back. There were drinks everywhere, blunts in rotation, loud music playing, lights everywhere, it looked more like a club than a housewarming/birthday party.
"Not only is this hoe jumpin, this hoe big as hell. You planning on starting a family or sum? Big ass house." Don commented, trailing off as he got to the end. It was true, Robyn's house was huge for it to just be her. It was a little scary too, having all those glass windows and all of that space. But she had high security everywhere, the doors were bolted, windows bulletproof, and cameras everywhere.
"You know I'm not trying to start no family, I can just afford it so I bought it." Robyn shrugged, looking around the house. Surprisingly, she somehow knew everyone there. It was a whole lot, but by association and threw passing, nobody was a new face. Robyn didn't have friends really, the only people she talked to were Marie, Don, and Blade. Other than that, she was more of a loner.
But she didn't mind really, she liked being with herself. No company was better than her own in her opinion. She knew herself the best, her conversations with herself being more interesting than the ones she had with actual people.
"This gon be the party spot baby, relax." Marie rubbed Don's arm who stood uneasy. The amount of space was concerning to him, and he would no doubt be telling Maurice about it...unaware to the fact his friend was planning on making an appearance himself.
