"I said I'm going out, I got shit to do." Robyn rolled her eyes, sitting back in her bed because she didn't have time or energy to try to fight with him right now. Everything was some sort of argument or battle, Maurice never backing down.
"You have shit to do every night Maurice, nobody that damn busy." He smacked his lips and grabbed his phone. Robyn could feel herself heating up, taking a couple deep breaths to calm herself down. She wanted to snap and could feel it would probably be happening soon. But for right now at least, she chose to remain calm.
Since the night they seen Aubrey about 2 months ago, this has become Maurice's norm. In the beginning, it was more like leaving out every once a week. But now, he left every single night and it was annoying and made Robyn suspicious. She didn't think he was breaking her trust, but he was doing something.
His whole point in getting away from her was due to Aubrey, not knowing he was only pushing her into his arms even more. They talked a lot, but Robyn tried to slow that down. Ignoring him for the past couple days was the best she could do in the time being.
"Well I'm that damn busy. So how bout you stop questioning me and take a nap or sum." Robyn turned her head once he tried to lean down and give her a kiss. Chuckling bitterly, Maurice grabbed her chin to force her face to be lined up in front of his. Robyn rolled her eyes through the kiss, not wanting to kiss back but she did.
She never knew if it would be her last kiss to him when he left out the house. It was no secret that he had targets on his back from all directions, his name carried too much weight not to have it. So she never let him leave the house without at least touching him affectionately in some type of way. Even if she was mad.
Robyn sat back with her arms crossed, watching as he left out the room. Looking down at her phone, she seen a missed call and a text from Aubrey but she didn't open it.
A couple minutes passed, Robyn sitting in silence and entertaining herself with her belly. She liked talking to it when she was bored, Maurice liked to do the same thing.
"Hopefully you'll be able to calm your daddy down when you get here." She smiled, rubbing it softly. She grinned feeling a pressing against the area that she was rubbing, that usually only happened when Maurice spoke to her stomach.
"Well hello-." Robyn was cut off by her doorbell ringing twice. She shifted in bed, hoping whoever it was would just go away because she wasn't expecting any company. And she knew it went Maurice because he had his own key.
