"I just know you aren't really about to marry that nigga Robyn." Robyn picked at her nails, glancing up at one of her friends from work, Teyana.
"Okay but look at it in the way I am Tey. I'm currently pregnant with his child, this baby is coming no matter what in less than 4 months. If he gets incarcerated, they're keeping him for a while, maybe even life. If I can stop my child from growing up without their father, then how selfish would it be for me not to do it?" Teyana paused from her salad, grabbing a napkin to wipe her mouth.
"I get that, I really do. But in the same breath, he's a grown ass man and he made that decision himself. He's been doing this for how long Robyn? Choosing to be sloppy with his shit now just doesn't make sense." Robyn nodded and looked down at her stomach. She was cramping a little bit, but it was normal.
"I know, and that's exactly why I don't know what to do. I've already sent him to jail before Tey, he would fucking hate me if I did it again-."
"Stop lying baby, you and I both know what you're going to do and that's let him put a ring on it. That man is your entire heart, you won't survive without him. I was just giving advice and letting you know what I would do in the situation." Robyn pouted, crossing her arms right under her breasts.
"You guys make it so dramatic as if I can't live without him. I'm not even as crazy over him like y'all make it seem." Tey paused from the bite of food she was about to take, suddenly hunching over in laughter. Robyn rolled her eyes and looked off to the side, if it wasn't Marie, it was Teyana.
"I know you aren't in this classroom trying to lie and shit. That man tells you jump and you ask how high." Robyn straight faced Teyana and closed her plate of food. Glancing up at the clock, their break was just about over anyways.
"Whatever, I have a class to teach and I'm gon stop by and talk to him later. So if you would excuse yourself." Teyana chuckled and packed up her lunch. Leaning over the table, she gave Robyn a tight hug even though she didn't return it.
"Ole mad ass, I'll be back." Tey called out, walking out out of the classroom just as the first student made their way in. Robyn looked up, going into her purse to grab a stick of gum. She looked in the small mirror on her desk, taking her hair down from the bun it was in.
"Ms. Fentyyyyyy!" She looked up at one of the basketball boys entering the classroom loudly.
"You better not bounce that ball in my class." She pointed, standing up to grab one of the expo markers. She allowed the class to talk for the first 5 minutes so she could get some stuff together. She was planning on revealing her pregnancy to them because it was her senior class.
