"KING! LISTEN TO THIS!" Luz exclaimed, as she stopped scratching the dog demon.
"Hey! Less read, more scratchy!" King whined as he sat on Luz's lap.
"Sorry! Now that I'll be a student at Hexside, I wanna learn all about it! I've got a new crush, and her name is education!" Luz shoved the brochure into King's face.
"Who was the other?" King asked before bitting onto the brochure and ripped a piece off.
Eda kicked open the door. "Hey freeloaders! Guess what today is?"
"Is it your birthday!?" Luz asked excitedly as Ember rushed from the kitchen with a small box of apple blood in hand.
"Is it my birthday?" King guessed.
"It's my birthday!" Hooty called from the door as Eda slammed the door close and skipped inside.
"No! It's human treasure day!" Eda threw the briefcase that quickly shaped into a door and Owlbert came rushing in with a huge bag of human items. Eda jumped onto the pile. "Ahh, fresh garbage."
"Ooo, gimme gimme gimme! Yes!" King pulled out a teddy bear. "Another worthy addition to my army of terror!" He pulled a string from the bear and it spoke about hugs and kisses. "Truly horrifying!"
Eda looked at the two who were looking at the brochure Luz had in her hands. "Yo, kids. Your trash piles' getting cold. While mine's getting hot!" Eda pulled out a hanger from her pile. "I have never seen such an extravagant earring."
"You can have my trash... ohh! Did you know Hexside was built on the bones of its rival school? Which he literally conquered!" Luz told Ember, showing her a picture of younger Principal Bump standing in front of a burning school with a flag of Hexside and a crowd cheering for him.
Eda was looking at herself in the mirror. "Yes I know all these things, I went there. It was the most harrowing period of my life. Oh, hello!" She catcalled to herself. Ember slightly snorted when she glanced at her supposed mentor.
"Can you imagine it! Me and Ember, in the halls of Hexside, studying with Willow and Gus and- maybe even Amity!" Luz smiled, hugging the brochure to her chest.
Ember suddenly remembered something. "Amity! Oh cramity! We're supposed to meet so we could get Luz's book back!" Ember exclaimed as she took Luz's hand and running out before quickly rushing back in, "I love you guys!"
