A LIGHT ORB HOVERED OVER A hand. It was soon revealed to be Luz holding the orb, "I'm not ready for this Eda, maybe we should go back."
"Nah kid, you got this, just do what we practiced!" Eda smirked, smiling at her nervous pupils.
"But what if I mess something up? Or what if I do something wrong? What if I die?" Luz whispered, gasping.
"Hey. Calm down, calm down. I bet Eda had to do the same thing when she was younger." Ember patted Luz on the back. Ember was also nervous, but wouldn't admit it. Luz smiled weakly at Ember before looking back at Eda.
"It's like a rite of passage. Granted, I was a little more skilled." Eda looked away proudly.
"Eda!" The two teens groaned.
"Right, right. Sorry, sorry. Now, get pumped." Eda put her fists in front of herself.
"Pumped!" Luz exclaimed as she copied Eda.
"Get ready." Eda smirked behind the girls.
"Ready!" Luz repeated as she flicked her hood on.
"Now, go!" Eda pushed Luz and Ember onto the stage, reading 'Hexside School Entrance Exams'.
Luz, who somehow now had a blanket on, jumped to the stage with Ember, who had her hood on. "From the humblest of beginnings, two heroes will rise. We have traveled from another realm and trained with a powerful witch to master dark and forbidden magic. I am... Luz Noceda!" Luz took the blanket off before noticing that only one person, the principal, sat on the chairs.
"And I am Ember Bianchi!" Ember had also taken off her hoodie. She chuckled nervously, "Confetti!" She tossed confetti around and smiled awkwardly.
"Right... the humans that wants to be a witches. Against my better judgement, I've allowed you two to take this exam into Hexside. But can you even do magic with all your... human parts?" Principal Bump said doubtfully.
"It's said that humans can't do magic, but I've discovered a lost technique that changes everything." Luz unzipped her bag and took out four notebook papers.
Principal Bump hummed in interest while Eda held a hopeful look with a thumbs-up. Luz handed Ember her papers and they tapped the first paper they placed on the ground, turning it into a light orb. She quickly put their other paper under the orb and tapped it. The paper shifted to a small ice pillar. Luz smiled as she did jazz hands with Ember.
