"LUZ! LUZ! LUZ!" King squeal as he dragged a drowsy Ember down the stairs to the living room where Luz was putting up christmas decorations. "Did you— what're you doing?"
Luz turns around with a grin, a piece of tinsel dangling from her hair, "Setting up some makeshift Christmas decorations, of course!" Luz exclaimed happily before noticing King's confused stare, "You... do know what Christmas is right?"
King stares at Luz a moment longer before flopping onto the couch at Ember's feet, "Eh, I don't wanna know. I'll find out from you two anyways." He yawns.
Luz chuckles, shaking Ember awake softly, tilting her head at her, "C'mon, Em! Let's go find a tree." Luz grins happily, helping said girl off the couch and out the door after putting on their winter clothes.
"LUZ CHOP!" Luz exclaimed, hitting the tree with a somewhat sharp object, only to get knocked back onto her back with a grunt. Ember stands over her, smiling at her friend.
"I'm just gonna use my magic, m'kay?" Ember told her friend, walking in front of the tree. She draws a spell circle in the air above her finger, causing a bigger spell circle to form around the stump of the tree. As it tips over, Ember helps Luz up, "All right, let's get this home."
Luz huffs playfully, rolling her eyes before helping Ember with the tree which was surprisingly light. The two grunted as they carried it back to the Owl House and inside.
The two carried it next to the fireplace, setting it down and catching their breath before lifting it up so it was vertical. They let out a sigh of relief, turning around before a falling sound caught their attention.
They turned back around to see the tree falling directly at them. Luz and Ember gasp as Luz runs over and holds the tree with shaky arms.
"Em, can you make one of the tree stands?" Luz exclaimed as Eda walked in with the most dumbfounded look as she watched the two.
"U-Uh, I guess?" Ember stuttered as she helped Luz push the tree back up before casting a spell to make a tree stand. An average sized stand appeared at the stump of the tree as the two back up, ready to catch the tree again.
