THE GANG SAT OUTSIDE, helping Eda sell some of the stuff she got back from Luz and Ember's world. Luz was telling the story of Azura to King and Ember listened while cleaning some things, finding the sound of Luz's voice calming.
"Emboldened by the dishonor Hecate had shown, Azura lifted her staff to the cotton-candy skies and shouted, "I challenge you to a Witch's Duel!" Luz moved her hand to the bottom of the book. "And look! I drew a flipbook. Pew, pew, pew!"
"Show me the picture," King asked as more of a demand.
"What?" Luz asked, not seeming to hear what the small demon said.
"Show me the picture!" King exclaimed as Luz turns the book for him to see, and he laughed and pointed rudely at the picture, "You know, they once called me the King of Artists."
Ember laughed, stopping what she was doing to turn and look at King, "I thought you were the King of Demons. Are you just making this up now?" Ember asked with a raised brow, making Luz giggle.
King turned around, glaring at Ember, "Doesn't matter. What's important is that my followers would leave me offerings in fear of me!"
"Well, I can offer you more of this tantalizing book." Luz grinned as she showed him the cover.
"Ugh! Please stop reading that. Its flowery language is an insult to witches and driving away all of our serious customers!" Eda groans as she dusted Luz's face to make her stop talking.
"Um, Eda? What customers? There aren't even any other stands around. What's going on?" Ember asked as they looked around the empty town strip.
"This is a bad omen. There must be something horrible happening today." Eda muttered to herself.
"Ember! Luz!" They heard two voices call out and looked to the side seeing their friends, Willow and Gus!
"Something amazing is happening today!" Gus exclaimed happily, grinning at his two friends.
"Gus, Willow! Hey!" Ember grinned as she and Luz waved at them. Willow raised her hand, holding onto a poster.
"It's the annual covention! Student witches get to see all the types of covens before they're placed in one. There's even a mystery guest this year!" Willow squealed.
"A job fair for witches!" Luz exclaimed, glancing between the two in front of her and Ember.
"Oh, that sounds cool!" Ember exclaimed, turning back to Eda.
