THE TRIO GOT SUITED UP with pillows wrapped around them with duct tape, rubber gloves, some bandages on their cheeks to "Look cool!" as Luz said while placing them on Ember's face.
Ember and Luz grabbed two hockey sticks from the wall while King grabbed his stuffed bunny toy. The trio then proceeded to walk towards the stairs. Ember and Luz got their phones out and turned on the flashlight mode.
They quietly made it through the up halls as they saw Eda's door open. The three looked at each other then mutually agreed to look. Ember opened the door to Eda's room slowly, seeing her room was wrecked. Her window was smashed, some of her stuff fell onto the ground.
"Oh my gosh, Eda!" Luz exclaimed, looking around to room frantically.
"She got snaggle‐backed!" King also exclaims, looking around the room.
"W-Wait! Calm down for a second!" Ember tried to calm them as they also did, "Eda?" Ember sheepishly called out as she slowly moved to look in her nest.
In Eda's nest, Ember didn't see any sign of Eda, "No!" Ember quietly exclaimed as she saw Eda's pillow destroyed by large claw marks with stuffing all over the nest and some falling out of the nest, "Slash marks."
Luz walked over to checked it also as she turned to King, "King! You're the demon expert. We need your help." King's posture rose up as he nodded at them.
"I'll go get my demon book!" King nods at Luz, scurrying over to Ember, "Please come with me, Emmy?" King asks fearfully. Ember nodded and turned to look at Luz and she also nodded.
Ember hugged Luz quickly in case they got separated or something happened to either one of them. Luz tightly hugged back, her hot breath on Ember's neck giving her shivers. Ember let go with a tight thin-lipped smile and went with King.
Ember and King were now running to where he left his book in the living area. Ember looked both ways to check if something moved or if she heard any noises while King looks around the room. He finally found his books.
"Wait, wait, first edition or second?" King asked Ember as they were running back to Luz.
"What!? You could have just brought the thing that has the snaggleback page!" Ember whisper-yelled at the small demon. They made it back to Eda's room but as they peered in, they saw no sign of Luz.
"Luz!?" Ember panicked and dropped the book as she ran inside to check for sure.
"The snaggleback got her!" King exclaimed, grabbing Ember's leg.
