"RIGHT NOW, IS AMAZING!" Luz thought as she walked beside the prince, "I am walking with a prince! A cute one to boot."
"Nevareth, your vengeful backstory is so compelling. And I'm loving your animal sidekick." Luz said as she pets a small onion-like fairy that floated next to her.
"After my village was consumed, my heart knows nothing but vengeance," Nevareth says as he gazed ahead of them.
Luz couldn't help it, but, the way he looks right now, reminded her of Ember. Luz swore she had an expression like that years ago, almost, broken but still the strong girl Luz knows today.
"Nevareth," Luz said as she tried to comfort him.
"Lady Luz, do you think love can bloom on the battlefield?" Nevareth says dramatically as he came to face me.
Luz's eyes widen as she turns around for a quick moment, "This quest is questing in all the right ways."
Nevareth and Luz arrived at a bridge, however, we were stopped by an old looking cat.
"Hum de diddle, for you to cross the bridge, you must first answer these two riddles." He says as he bounced around from side to side.
"Hit me, little furry man!" Luz said with excitement, raising a determined fist.
"Your quest shall stop if you fail this game, so tell me, my dear, what is my name?" The small cat-man asks. Luz hummed as she looked at him before catching a name tag, leaning down, and reading the name upon it.
"Um, Chris?" Luz said with a raised eyebrow.
"That is it! Now, your last riddle. What can be described as a bond that can't be unbound, even in the tedious of circumstances?" Chris says as Luz took quick notice to hear a semi-dark tone in his voice.
Luz pondered for a while, trying to figure out the riddle. She didn't know why, a memory of her and Ember came to mind, "...True Friendship," Luz muttered out without consent.
"By jolly! You are right! You may cross the bridge!" Chris says happily. "And please take this chosen one. It will help you on your journey." Chris says as he gave Luz a ring with a sapphire jewel.
"Wow, this is amazing. Thank you," Luz said before slipping on the ring on her finger.
"Do you need a cape?" Nevareth asks, placing a hand on Luz's shoulder.
"No, I think I'm g—" Luz reassures before being interrupted.
"You can use my shirt!" Nevareth exclaims as he rips off his shirt, showing his buffed up body.
