Scene 10 - Live By The Gun, Die By The Gun

The white screen turns into the shining sun. It burns its heat down onto Harmony as we view the jailhouse designed similarly to a large barn. The entrance is in the middle from our view, with two windows at the side and a few steps leading down. Penelope and Parker are clamped together in one of the tiny cells with bars holding them so they can be seen inside. No windows are inside, only a cold metal bar built into the wall for a bed. Rigby is in the one on the right. The same for his cell applies. The Judge holds a gun at them as they stand back by the wall. The drunkard Pete closes their cell door and locks the key away. The rest of the jailhouse features a wooden table that contains many draws with a rocking chair. On the table, we have a telephone, some pens, papers, and other documents. The wall behind the table features wanted posters featuring various antagonists from the various Gerry Anderson productions. They include The Hood, The Chaos Crew, The Mechanic, Captain Black, Titan, X20, MasterSpy and Zarin, Zelda, Yung-Star, Dr Agon, Mentor, Pedro and Fernando, a UFO alien, and the W.I.N. Gang. These posters feature this caption, "Wanted, dead or alive (preferably dead)". The rewards will be various for each villain.

Pete:

I can watch out after these crooks, Judge. Trust me, they won't get past these cell doors with me here!

Judge:

I know I can rely on you.

Rigby's door slams shut and is then locked. The Kid enters.

Now you're not going to give us any trouble here, are you? You all keep nice and quiet in your cells, and you reflect on your actions. Pete here never allows anyone to get past his sights, drunk or not.

Rigby:

How long are we supposed to be kept in here?

Judge:

Until you're ready to stop causing enough trouble in these parts and comply with our law.

Rigby:

And food and water?

Judge:

You'll be given some water and bread from time to time. The jailhouse can get pretty warm in the sun.

Rigby:

And why is that freak kiddo here?

Judge:

Now that's not the way to treat the people who have the gun pointing in your direction now, is it? It's not like you have the moral high ground either. People can come in and look at you if they want to. There is nothing against that in our constitution in Harmony. We'll look after your horses in the meantime. See that they give you no trouble, Pete.

He leaves, lighting his pipe to smoke. Pete sits down with the key in his hand. The drunkard then immediately picks up a bottle he was hiding and begins slurping it down. He then puts his feet up and begins to relax. In a short while, he is already asleep. Penelope and Parker sit down.

Parker:

Well m'lady, I think this is honesty the first time I've ever ended up behind bars for something I have been entirely innocent of. Although, there is a first for everything.

The Kid continues to uncomfortably stare at Penelope.

Rigby:

Would you mind not staring at the lady, skinny!

Penelope:

It's quite alright, Rigby. I can fend for myself.

The Kid continues to stare. He then suddenly pulls a gun out and bends his legs like he was going to shoot them.
