Xavier. | 6 days until Christmas....Xavier had woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Meaning he was going to have one of those days. His energy was off, attitude bad, little to no patience. He rarely woke up like this but whenever he did it was always a bad day. When Cori got up he stayed in bed and slept in a little longer.
He just knew somebody was gone piss him off today. There was three strikes before he snapped and he woke up with strike 1 already there.
He damn near wanted to tell Cori he ain't feel good but he wasn't gone leave her hanging today. It was the annual sports event against other families in the neighborhood and her bitch ass exe husband was hosting it. Luckily he chose basketball and Xavier used to hoop.
All he knew was that Henry better stay the hell away from Cori cause last time he caught him off guard walking up on her and didn't wanna do to much, but today he had time.
Cori was doing great, he wasn't about to let nobody try to fuck up her Christmas anymore. That's including all the muthafuckas that's been trying it.
Cori walked back into the room with a smile on her face. "Hey good morning sleepy head, you hungry?" He ain't smile back though, only cause he wasn't in the mood to be smiling.
"Morning and nah." He mumbled and shook his head, looking down at his phone.
Cori gave him a weird look. "You okay?"
"I'm straight shorty." His said, his tone a little dismissive. He ain't mean to come off like that, he was just irritated.
And when he was like this he could be real mean.
This morning he woke up due to Cori talking in her sleep and she said something that threw him off his game completely, lowkey adding to his bad mood.
She said "Please don't leave me Xavier."
He was so caught off guard that he moved away from her and slept on his own side of the bed. He just ain't know how to feel about it so he left it alone completely.
Maybe Chief was right.
"Alright." She sighed, walking over to her desk. She signed into her MacBook and went back to her email to check on the delivery date of the package she ordered for Xaviers family. After having dinner with them she wanted to do something for them, especially since she was dragging Xavier to Georgia. It was the least she could do.
It was still set to be delivered on Christmas Day.
She closed the MacBook and turned around to look at Xavier. She knew he was lying because something was off. She could feel the walls he put up. But kind of understanding his personality type, she knew it was better to not persist and just give him some space.
