Man I think this series made its way into my top 5. This has been a good year full of mini series. 💕

Corinne/Xavier. | continued...After checking out of the hotel X and Cori went back to her parents house. She didn't want to go but she knew he was right, if she didn't deal with this now it was going to haunt her. She needed to figure out what was next now that she knew the truth.
Her mother had an affair with Emanuel.
Jonathan was not her father but he raised her as if she was his daughter.
Emanuel whose spent all of her life as her body guard and protecting her was her actual father.
Out of everyone in the situation she wanted- no needed to talk to Emanuel. She wanted to ask him why? Why did he never say anything?
Now they were inside of her room getting ready for whatever the day had in store. Most people would have gotten on the first flight back home, Cori of course wanted to because at this point fuck Christmas with the Michelson's, but X convinced her to stay.
More like he told her she wasn't leaving but same shit, just a different way. Clearly he wasn't a fan of running away.
She stared at herself in the vanity mirror before looking over her shoulder to see X sitting at the end of her bed on his phone. She started playing back their morning in her mind, smiling softly.
Xavier was possibly one of the best things to happen to her in forever. Without even probably realizing it he was helping Cori find herself.
His friendship had become important to her in such a short amount of time. It hit different.
He was there for her and for once she ain't feel alone.
The way he carried himself, people respected him for him. He wasn't trying to be anyone else. She was starting to see why he didn't pretend to be the guy that she wanted him to be. He couldn't pretend to be something he wasn't. He clearly might have had some thug like tendencies but it wasn't bad. He wasn't ignorant, he was very smart. He was probably just as smart as any Ivy League guy she ever met.
Whatever his lifestyle consisted of she didn't care, she never asked any questions. She didn't need too. She knew he did whatever he had to do to survive. He had real power in his life. People either respected him or feared him.
He was the man Jonathan wished he could be.
The knock on her door interrupted her thoughts as she jumped up and went to open it. She saw Corey standing on the other side of it, scrunching her face up.
"Hey Corinne." He mumbled softly, sticking his hands in his pockets. "I was just stopping by the check on you."
Corinne continued to stare at him confused, he's never stopped by her room. Let alone checked on her. Besides saying hi here and there, she rarely saw him.
She cleared her throat. "Hey Corey, I'm fine."
"Good I'm happy to hear that. I just wanted to apologize to you about yesterday and really everything." He said, looking straight into her eyes to show he was being sincere. "Nothing about any of what you have been put through is okay and I'm sorry if I ever played a role in mistreating you. I realized me minding my business and being a bystander was just as worse as what Caroline was doing. I don't give a fuck who your father is, you're still my sister and I know we don't really have a relationship but I want to change that. I'm here if you need me, everyone in this family is not against you. I had to find my voice to stand up for you and now I will. I swear." He said, touching his heart.
