"Honestly, how is he? I want to know what I'm walking into." Nas asked as he stepped off the elevator beside Josiah.
Kameera was oversees in Paris for fashion week working and it was going to be a few days before she could leave, but Nasir flew out immediately after he found someone to keep the girls after Josiah reached out to them.
Josiah paused and they stopped walking to face each other.
"Honestly he's not okay dad. He hasn't said a word since the incident. Like after the police talked to him and everything he shut down. I've never seen Ayden like this and it's so heartbreaking. This sucks because Raymond was such a cool laidback guy that something like this happening is mind blowing. I just want to know what's going on because Ayden might be in trouble."
Nasirs face scrunched up. "What do you mean?"
"Dad they found duffel bags of money with over 100k, marijuana, and a gun in Rays car. I'm not saying Ayden was involved in anything, I'm just worried he's gotten himself in something and now with Ray gone, all of that might fall on him."
This was news to Nasir as he let out some air and ran his hand down his face. He couldn't believe what he just heard.
Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his phone and unlocked it, shooting a text to his lawyers to call him in the morning. He slid his phone back into his pocket and met his eyes. Josiah looked lost and sad.
"Thank you for telling me Josiah, I know it was hard too but it's good you did because we need to protect your brother at all costs. This situation could get messy if we don't jump on top of it, but first we gotta be there for him. That's more important for me right now." Nas said as he reached over and placed his hand onto his shoulder, pulling him into a tight hug. "I love you and I hope you're okay. I'm sorry for the lost of your friend."
Josiah blinked away his tears and hugged his father back tightly. "Thank you dad, I'm so happy you're here."
Nas sighed and rubbed his back, before pulling away to get a good look at him. "I told you I'm always one phone call away for anything and for my kids I wouldn't hesitate to run."
Josiah smiled softly. "Yeah I know dad, but let's go. I am sad that Raymond is gone, but that was Aydens best friend and he needs us all now, more than ever."
"Let's go then." Nas nodded and they headed off to the boys dorm room. Josiah unlocked it and opened it seeing Ayden just like he was when he left. He was laying on his bed, laying on his stomach with his face buried in his pillows.
