'What About Death?'

Part 3/7 of The Witches Forest

The woman answers the door and we do a greeting. She leads us into the house and sages us then begins to talk about the cabin
"Well someone did die there" the door behind her creeks open and the boys nervously laugh
"Does that happen often?" Sam asks
"It happens from time to time" she says shutting the door
"Do you know who died or how they died?"
"I believe it was in the 60s or so and the way they died is they did not have heating in the house so they had a propane stove to heat the house and they died of carbon monoxide poisoning"
"Of shit" I whisper
"Yeah and there was a local sheriff who lived like 3 houses down that finally decided to come here and found the body so yeah"
"That's so scary. All Jennifer said was that up north a little bit it's called witches forest but she wouldn't tell us why. Do you know?" Sam asks the woman who seems really nice. I feel more comfortable around her than I do Jennifer
"I'm not exactly sure why. I do know that there are a lot of rituals that" she starts but then stop changing what she's saying "there's a lot of weird stuff that goes on in this area and it used to be owned by mobsters and satanic rituals would happen, which aren't as bad, aren't as evil as you would think. They aren't that evil"
"Yeah we do them all the time" Sam jokes
"Yeah" Colby jokes back as I look at Corey worriedly. The door opens again making us all nervously laugh
"I wanna know. Am I likely to die tonight if we stay the night because I really don't wanna die yet" I ask
"Well a lot of people have died..."
"Oh great. So I won't walk down the isle" I say making the woman laugh
"They haven't died recently so I think you should be ok and won't die"
"Ok see Talia you and Colby will get married it's fine" Jake pats my shoulder "you'll just get hurt"
"Maybe emotionally" she says
"Oh god" I say putting my head in my hands
"No we will be fine. Gotta keep things positive" Sam says pointing the camera at me. She then gets out the tarot cards and uses sage to cleanse them
"So do you sage most people you first meet?" Colby asks
"I like to sage people that are coming into my home just to keep the energy clear. We actually had a medium come out and cleanse the house because of the death"
"The death. Oh so your saying the death was in this house not the cabin" colby says
"Yes in this house"
"Oh ok I thought you were on about the cabin"
"Wait so as we were talking about the death that happened in this house the door opened?" Corey says freaked out
"Yep" I say as he gets up
"Ok bye I'll see you guys when you get back" Corey walks off then comes back to sit down.

The woman then gives us tarot cards to shuffle, we take turns individually before handing them back to her. She pulls 3 out
"Ok none of these are bad"
"What about death?" I point to the card
"It's not what you think. So first the tower can usually indicate chaos so when things pass you need to rebuild. Chaos isn't always a bad thing it can lead to the next chapter in your life which is actually closely tied to this" she points at the death card "it could mean death of an era and a new beginning and then this card is all about fear and anxiety" she points to the middle card which has an IX on it which are the Roman numerals for number 9 "it could mean that whatever happens is more in your head. So you might be more afraid than you need to be"
"So it could be that the anxiety will cause chaos which will then be the end of a chapter ready to start a new one"
"Yeah. Errm maybe you should take the sage with you"
"Are you sure?" I ask
"Yes and also see if you can get any salt and put it around your tent" as we carry on talking we hear more creaks and noises around the house. We say goodbye and leave her house heading towards the forest once again and I'm sat in the middle between Jake and Corey. I groan a little feeling slightly sick from all the bumps and twists which is normal for me
"T you ok?" Colby asks
"Yeah just feel a little sick from the bumps"
"Do you want to swap seats?" Sam asks pointing the camera at me
"No were here now. Look there's a little area we can park the car"
"Ok boys and girl let's park up and get our green on and set up this campsite because we have a long night ahead of us" Sam says. The boys put green on and plug their merch while Colby holds the camera
"Do you think the green needs to be showing for it to work?" I ask a little worried
"Naaa I think your good. I think you just have to have it on you" Corey says
"But like how will the spirits know I have green on?"
"That's true" Sam says. Colby points the camera at me
"Babe I think you'll be ok" Colby hands Sam the camera the puts an arm around me as Corey puts the socks on his hands to keep them warm. We grab all our things and find an area to set up camp. I let the boys sort the tent out because I have no clue how to put one up, Colby pretty much is the one who puts the tent up and he's very proud of himself
"Guys shall we go in the tent... together?" Sam asks pointing the camera at us. Jake is the first to climb in
"Dude this reminds me of Boy Scouts" Colby smiles
"It's gonna stink in here with you boys"
"What? I'm offended" Sam points the camera at me
"Let's be real he's going to fart and blame it on ghosts" I point to Corey
"Me? What? What about him" Corey points to Colby
"His don't smell" I yell laughing. Jake takes out the sleeping bag and gets in
"This is the new trap house bro" Jake says
"Not gonna lie I kinda miss the trap house" I sigh
"Like dead ass?" Sam asks
"Yeah. I miss being around you guys all the time" I say looking around "that's one of the main reason I enjoy coming on these trips even if you guys get me haunted" I laugh
"What would you guys say to getting another trap house?" Sam asks
"I'm in brother" Jake says
"Me to" Corey says as Sam looks and Colby and I
"I'm in if you are" Colby looks at me and I smile
"Hell yeah I'm in"
"Weve got another what 8 months left in the apartments I think we should move into another house afterwards" Sam says and we all agree.
