'Like It Didn't Look Like You'

Queen Mary's Castle part 1/5

After driving and napping we have arrived at this castle. We meet up with a lady who explains the history of the castle and why it's haunted. Apparently a guy called Simon Fraser was executed and the castle that was here before was burnt down. Only a third of the castle still stands now and it has a dungeon. A fucking dungeon! Apparently a young boy aged 14 was sent to the dungeon just for pick pocketing and they don't think he ever came out. The woman states that the castle is haunted as there is a woman named Jean Douglas who is seen often looking out one of the windows. She was the daughter of one of the owners of the castle and died basically from a broken heart. Jean was engaged to a man who left to 'win his fortune' and she became really sick and pale so when he returned he didn't recognise her which broke her heart and she died.

When the woman leaves to go into the dungeon to do something (which she won't tell us what) we talk about how sad that story was
"How sad is that though. Imagine your husband or whatever is riding on a horse and your in this window" Colby points to the window "literally right there and then you die on the spot because he doesn't recognise you"
"Is it weird hearing that story I have a weird kinda feeling, not scared at all but I kinda feel almost, I guess connected to Jean. Like we're engaged and if you were to leave me for months I'd probably be the same, I'd become probably really sick and stop eating. I dunno" I look at the window shrugging
"I'd always recognise you" Colby smiles taking my hand
"It's ready for you" the woman says and hands over the keys to the castle to Sam. She gets in her car and drives off
"This is crazy" Corey smiles
"Let's take some pictures before the sun down" Sam suggests.

After taking pictures it's finally time to walk into the castle. All the boys freak out about how cool and amazing it is
"Is this like a small church or something?" I ask walking around
"Looks like it" Sam says
"Maybe this is a hint of some kind that Colby and Talia's 4 year plan sucks and they just need to get married"
"Or maybe we need to go to see a priest" Corey says scared. I shake my head and follow Sam and Colby up the stairs into a room. Colby gets out the EMF detector
"It's so old" I mumble looking around
"Woah woah woah. Sam did you get that? Did you get that on camera" I look over to Corey who's pointing at Colby "I saw that. The EMF reader just went off"
"You saw that too?" Corey nods his head in response to Colby
"Guys there's the window" Jake points
"Oh my god the window" Sam gasps pointing the camera to the window
"Colby you should do down the stairs and look up at the window, Talia you should look out" Jake suggests
"Sam come with me" Colby and Sam walk off. I look out of the window and see them both walking down the drive way. Colby looks up to the window and suddenly looks a little scared. They both run back into the castle and up the stairs back to the room we are in
"Guys that was freaky" Colby breaths out walking over to me
"What was? What happened?" Colby hugs me and of course I hug him back
"It was weird. Like it didn't look like you"
"What do you mean it didn't look like me?"
"I dunno how to explain it but it was like I was looking at you but something was off" Colby pulls away and turns on the EMF reader which goes to red
"Oh my god look"
"This is where Jean died and it's going off"
"I still have that weird feeling"
"She could be channeling through you because your the only girl in the group and your engaged so she might be trying to contact you" Corey says. I've heard that this can happen but does that mean I could get possessed?
"Let's carry on exploring the castle" Jake says walking out of the room.

As we are walking to the top of the castle the EMF goes off many times something none of us have seen happen like that before in real life
"Yo your not gonna believe this. Like this is insane" Colby says holding his phone out in front of him "there was a Queen that came to this castle, guess what her name was" I look around the boys, Sam and Jake look confused but Corey looks scared
"Queen Mary" Corey says in a 'of course it would be' kind of way
"Queen Mary haunts this castle?" Sam asks
"Yes" Colby replies "now I'm not sure if that's the exact Queen from the long beach boat but the fact that's a coincidence is already weird"
"I feel like I've missed out on a huge part of what makes you believe in this kinda stuff" I sigh
"It's ok. You were dealing with your own stuff at the time" Jake smiles. We walk down from the top of the castle and manage to find Queen Mary's bedroom
"Dude. Do you hear those noises?" Colby pulls me closer to him, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind and resting his chin on my head
"Was that coming from the bed?" I ask
"Wait where's Jake?" Corey asks looking around
"Jake? Jake?" Sam walks towards the bed as we hear another creak coming from that area. Sam beds down and we hear a "Hello" from under the bed in a bad British accent making us laugh.
