'Church Camping'

The Graveyard part 1/4

Of course I'm in the back of the car again with Jake and Corey while Colby is driving and Sam is filming a montage for the next part of the England series. Corey and Jake have no idea where were going, but I do because I came across the booking information on Colby's phone. I rest my head on the head rest and sigh
"You ok Talia?" Colby asks looking and me through the mirror
"Yeah just tired"
"We have a couple hours until we get to the church so have a nap" Colby looks back to the road
"Planning on it. Jake please be quite while I sleep" I turn to Jake
"Hey, I'm going to sleep as well" Jake rests his head on the window
"Me too"
"Well Sam looks like it's just us"
"Sorry bro I'm going to use this chance to sleep" Sam chuckles.

I'm woken up by talking in the car
"I almost ran over a policeman, but were here" I sit up more as I realise I'm leaning on Jake who is still asleep "ahhh there she is, did you have a good sleep?"
"Did I just hear you right or was I still asleep?"
"What?"
"You almost ran over a policeman?" I raise my eyebrows
"Nooooo" Colby pretends to be innocent which Sam laughs "Jakes still dead asleep in the back"
"Allow me" I clear my throat "Jake" I poke him gently then start to shake him "JAKE WAKE UP" I yell at the same time
"Yo" Jake looks at the camera with a peace sign making us all laugh
"Have you guys ever heard of champing" Sam starts
"Church Camping" Corey says realising what champing is
"These old churches are just left to rot but they still want to make money off them, so they let random people rent it out and we did that"
"I'm not looking forward to this" I mumble
"So we're sleeping in a church?" Corey asks
"We're sleeping in a..." Colby nods but is interrupted by Corey
"We're sleeping in haunted church"
"Oh my god yes Corey we're sleeping in a haunted church" I slightly yell
"Well sorry for just confirming what I heard" Corey acts offended
"Anyway this church hasn't been used as an actual church in so many years" Sam explains
"That sounds so fun and terrifying" Jake says
"Can I sleep in the car?" I ask
"Nope, now lets go" Colby turns off the camera that has been recording us. Jake opens up the car door and I follow him out of the car while Corey is still sat in his seat. I sneak around the car to try and scare Corey but he gets out before I had the chance to.

To get to the church we have to walk through some trees and bushes, but once we arrive at the doors of the church I'm hit with a sickly feeling
"Oh my god" the boys all say and look at the church in awe
"Wait shhhh" I put my finger to my lips
"Is that crows?" Sam asks
"Errr yeah I think, but is sounds like more than one" Corey looks around
"Talia aren't crows like a bad sign or something?" Colby asks
"Yep, you wanna know what they really mean?"
"No, no not really" Corey sighs
"Talia what do they mean" Jake asks
"It's a sign of death, it's believed that if a crow appears around you then a loved one will die soon"
"Oh great just fantastic" Corey throws his hands in the air
"Personally I don't believe it, I think it's because people associate crows with abandoned places and churches, they're birds at the end of the day not psychic" I shrug "Corey don't worry" Sam gets out the camera and sets it up on a tripod
"Talia do you want to give out the information?"
"Sure" I reply to Sam "So the stones of the church came from the buildings that were in the town which used to a roman town. It's completely deserted and the people who lived here have all died"
"We're basically in a ghost town" Corey nervously says
"So this is someone's experience here, 'the temperature dropped and there was an icy chill, the feeling of an unwelcome presence was intense, we left right after shaken from the experience' I already have a funny feeling and it's not even dark yet" I hand Colby his phone and he explains about how an executer, named Thomas, of Henry the 8th lies here with his wife, he is apparent the main spirit to haunt the area.

After we talk about the haunting and the research it's time to go into the church, but we can't figure out how
"I cant tell if it's from just being tired, but I feel as if I'm getting sick, like a cold or something" I shiver a little
"Probably doesn't help your cold" Colby pulls me into him and he rubs his hands up and down my arms in an attempt to warm me up
"Bro theres a tooth on the grave" Corey yells pointing at one of the graves, Colby and I pull away and start to walk over to Corey who's freaking out a little. Colby gets out the camera and points it to Corey
"What did you say?" he asks
"Theres a tooth on this grave" Corey shows us the tooth by pointing closer to it
"Oh my.." Jake starts to say
"Dude" Corey yells
"Oh my god" Sam breaths out
"Why would there be a tooth on one of the graves? Like it cant be the person who's buried, but why would someone put a tooth on the grave?"
"It looks pretty new" Sam says
"Bro look, that grave is nearly broken in two. Look you can see into the grave" Jake points to the graves behind us
"Lets try and get into the church again, if we can't I'll ring the renter" Sam says and I nod in agreement.

We ended up having to phone the renter to tell us how to get in, turns out we were just turning the handle the wrong way, Colby is holding the camera showing Sam opening the door
"Ok thank you so much " Sam puts the phone down "wait lets act as if we just figured that out on our own, go back over there" Sam shut the door to the church and runs over to us to the main entrance of the church "I have a crazy idea. Maybe theres some sort of weird locking system we need to figure out" Colbys gasps playing along while I shake my head
"Thats a great idea" Jake plays along
"We got to knock in a pentagram" Sam starts to knock the church door
"Woah really?" I say more worriedly, like surly that's not a good idea
"I don't know if you should do that on a church door" Sam stops knocking and looks scared realising what he was doing
"Thank you it's not just me who thinks that's a bad idea" Corey says as Sam stands up
"I made a severe and continuous lapse of my judgement" Sam says making us all laugh.
"Good job Sam" Jake makes a forced smile, he literally looks as if he's about to shit himself while giving the camera a thumbs up
"Welcome to St Andrews Church"

Sam opens up the doors causing everyone to walk in shouting 'oh my god' are we allowed to say that in a church? Colby hands over the camera to Jake
"Thats where were sleeping" Colby walks over to the beds that are set out for us
"Not going to lie, this is gonna be so weird for us, like we will be sleeping next to each other but not at the same time"
"Well I can do this" Colby drags one of the beds over to another
"Just don't fall through" Jake laughs. I roll my eyes smiling then I start to look around the church
"Bro what's that?" Jake points to what I thought is the wall
"What?" Sam asks
"There look" Jake shows Sam, I then see Corey coming out from a gap between the wall and some cabinet type things
"Did somebody says biscuit?" Corey asks in a creepy British accent, which mind you isn't very good, holding an old lantern.
