'That Was A Hiss'

Part 7/7 of The Witches Forest

This part will be the longest part because theres already a load of parts to this series. I try to keep each chapter to about 1400-1500 but so much happens in the last 40 minutes I went over that by nearly 1000.

We decide to go back to the fire just in case he returns to it. I continue to silently cry until Corey spots Colby making me look up to where Corey is pointing. I see a light coming towards us and Colby yell. Sam picks up the camera and tuns it on
"Guys"
"Colby" I say under my breath and begin to run to him. When I finally get to him he drops his light on the floor and wraps his arms around me, lifts me up as my silent cries turn into loud tears and whimpers. I wrap my legs around his waist and cling on to him for dear life
"Shhh its ok I'm right here"
"Are you ok bro?" Jake asks with concern
"Where were you bro?" Sam asks as Jake picks up the light Colby had put on the floor
"The shadow person I saw him again. He ran down the path"
"The same thing you saw before?" Sam asks
"Yes. It ran past so I ran after it, I thought you were behind me"
"No we literally said stop because we saw something"
"I didn't hear you"
"Guys do you want to leave and talk about this because Talia was about to have a panic attack and was so close to throwing up"
"Baby I'm here your ok. Everything's ok" Colby runs his fingers through my hair while I'm still clinging to him. We walk back to the camp and sit back down, I sit on Colbys lap "I'm sorry that I scared you, but I swear to god I saw something and I thought you guys were behind me" at this point I have finally stoped crying.

After a few seconds of silence I ask Sam a question while turning my head to look at him
"What did you say you saw?"
"It was like this thing hanging in the tree"
"When I first saw it I thought it was baby hanging in the tree" Jake says seriously "It was spinning and swaying"
"Realistically it could have just been something hanging in the tree and swaying in the wind but it was creepy. We can not split up again guys"
"Yeah, that's my fault guys I fully take blame for that" Colby says holding his hands up in defence, I just hug him tighter
"I don't like this place bro" Corey says
"I feel like I did after the Biltmore. Like I'm being messed with" I sigh
"Holy shit" Corey freaks out "shine a light down there. Theres someone down there. Guys lets get in the car and leave"
"Wait just calm down. You guys are freaking me out and I'm trying to stay calm" Jake says eating his gummy bears
"Ok lets just pack up a little" Sam say sighing. We start to pack up a little and manage to calm ourselves down a bit. We decide to stay for a little bit longer and get into the tent. I cuddle up next to Colby trying to keep warm and safe.

Sam turns on the camera and hands it over to Colby to explain that we are staying in the tent for a bit when a bug decides to make an appearance. I squeal and hide in the sleeping while Colby is trying to stamp on the bug
"Dude there it is" Sam says, I look up to see Jake hitting the bug with Shrek
"Say what you said earlier about Coreys face and Shrek" Colby laughs and Corey pulls a face
"Yeah that's the same face that Shrek makes" Colby points the camera at Corey and Jake shows Shrek to the camera
"You know what I call that face? Thats like the dad shrug" Corey demonstrates 'the dad shrug'
"It's the white people face, you know those memes when a white person walks past someone and they make that face" Jake laughs making all of us laugh. I'm thankful that Jake and Corey were able to lighten up the mood from what it was earlier, I still feel uneasy but nowhere near as bad as I felt earlier.

We spend the next hour or so just chatting and messing around
"There were 4 boys and a girl in a tent at 1am and all of a sudden they heard a noise outside of the tent. They go 'what is that?', they ignore it. 10 minuets later they hear another noise. They tell the girl to leave and go pee before she goes to sleep, because she's notorious for waking up in the middle of her slumber to need to pee. After she leaves one of the boys try to unzip the other boys pants. The other boy goes 'no we gotta go make sure the girl is safe', so one of the boys unzips the tent to go outside to start exploring" I start giggling at Coreys stupidity "they see a shadowman, what do they do? they run. The shadowman chases them and grabs one of the boys and pulls him into the tent and kisses him on the lips and marries that boy"
"Ohhhhh" Sam
"And the 3 other boys loose their best friend because he got married" he yells
"Is this aimed at anything? Do you need to talk about it?" I ask laughing
"No" Corey crosses his arms
"Yo Sam I just thought, you know at the Stanley we all had dreams about running in woods"
Yo bro your...." Sams cut off by Corey telling him to hush
"I just heard an exhale outside and footsteps outside the tent" we then hear more footsteps and what sounds like a car outside. We then heard a bang or as if something has been thrown and then a hiss, we all start to freak out
"Bro what the fuck was that?" Corey says
"That was a hiss" Sam confirms that he heard the same thing as Corey
"I think we should leave, like dead ass I think we should go" we run to the car and get in.
