'It Did Lead To The River'

Queen Mary's Castle part 4/5

"Ok so just a quick update for everyone. We just told Colby and Jake who are inside the cottage there, that we just wanted to test this out for a second. We basically want to see if it's just the castle that's haunted or the whole property" Sam says pointing to Corey who's holding the dousing rods and me who is stood watching Corey
"If there's a spirt or anyone with us can you please make these rods cross right now?" Corey asks holding up the dousing rods don't cross. Corey starts to ask the same question but before he finishes his sentence the rods both point in the same direction "if there is a spirit here make these rods cross outwards and face me" the rods move out and Corey raises his eyebrows
"They definitely moved out but they didn't face you" I say
"Think about if there's spirits in that castle bro then there's no way that they aren't walking around here ya know" Corey looks up at the castle
"Being out of the castle though I feel better. Like I have some kind of protection around me"
"Weirdly I feel like that as well" Sam points the camera to me then back to Corey
"If there is a spirt out here with us. Point to the location to where you are" the rods are like shaking. We try the questions again this time out away from the castle
"Bro it's pointing towards the trees" Corey freaks out
"Why is that creepy Corey? They're trees" I laugh a little at his reaction. I mean he would freak out anywhere the rods would point
"Remember the lady said that there is a trail that goes down to the river should we do that?" Sam asks
"I dunno bro"
"Don't dousing rods just find water anyway. Like isn't that what they're used for?" I ask a little confused
"Yeah. Errrm back in the day witches used them to find water by asking the spirits. The churches actually band the use of them" Corey informs me
"I say let's follow the trail" I say
"What are you crazy?" Corey slightly yells scolding my choice to agree with Sam
"You wanna go down there?"
"Yeah just to check to see where the demon is. I just feel like we should follow it"
"Woah wait a minute Sam. Did you just hear what you just said? Corey did you not just hear him?" I frown
"What did he say?"
"You know what, never mind. Let's go"

We make it to near the end of the trail and this time Corey is holding the camera and Sam now is holding the rods asking which way we should go. The rods point to his left, mine and Corey's right. No mater where Sam turns the rods point to the same way
"Let me text Colby to let him know what we're doing so he doesn't freak out" I pull out my phone and notice I have no signal "damn it. No signal" we walk deeper down the trail until we get to the river
"Oh look guys. It did lead to the river" Sam points in front of us. Trees surround us
"Apparently this river surrounds the whole castle"
"They say that water and rivers have energy in it that attracts ghosts"
"Yeah I think it was on ghost adventures or something but they said running water can fuel paranormal activity. So that's why when you do Bloody Mary you turn the tap on" i back up what Corey is saying
"Holy shit" Sam breaths out
"They say water is a portal"
"Let's test that theory out then" Sam lifts up the dousing rods "spirt or energy if you want us to go in a certain direction just point us there with the rod" the rods point us in the direction of the water.

We walk to the water which has a mist over the top of it making us all have an eerie feeling
"Bro that's so creepy" Corey nervously laughs "there the castle look" Corey points the camera to the castle
"Dude" Sam yells "think. What did they do to all of the bodies"
"Seriously Sam?" I groan as Corey shouts
"Oh my god. Do you think that's why it led us down here?"
"Maybe. There's only one way to find out. I don't know exactly where to go but spirt if your still with us point us in the direction that you want us to go" the rods points past Corey and I into the water. I look around as Sam shakes it off. I feel like I've been here before, like I recognise the trees and dirt path, but why? Sam tries again with the dousing rods and they still point past Corey and I into the water "somethings there" Sam is almost like in a trace, kinda like when we were at the church
"Yo yo yo Sam" Corey tries to get Sams attention as Sam steps into the water
"Sam what are you doing?" but he ignores me
"Sam Sam yo" Corey grabs Sams should and turns him to face us
"What?"
"Yo yo give me the rods" Corey snatches them out out of Sams hands. Sam looks so confused to what's happening
"No it wants us to go over there" Sam points to farther in the lake and continues to walk
"Talia hold the camera" Corey passes the camera to me and grabs Sam pulling him away from the water "why are you trying to walk in the water?"
"What? That's the only place to go?"
"Sam are you ok?" I ask looking at him then Corey who has the same worried look on his face that I do
"Let's go" Sam says and I pass the camera to Corey.

We start our walk back then Corey gasps
"Woah. Oh my god" I look over to him holding the camera down to his side "dude I'm having deja vu right now"
"I didn't say anything but so am I" I say looking around
"Bro I had a fucking dream about this spot bro let's go back" Corey yells then it hits me
"Oh my god. We got to go like right now" I yell
"What? What's going on?" Sam asks confused as Corey is running back to the cottage and I'm trying to keep up
"Dude I had a dream literally about this exact spot"
"Corey wait" I say out of breath
"What the fuck was that?" Corey stops in his tracks. I then see them, my mama and abuela in front of me.....
