Eddie never imagined himself in a cooking class. He can make those basic dishes: rice, pasta, cereal with milk, and soup. He can throw something into the microwave. He mostly picks up takeout.
Eddie watches Sabrina mix the ingredients like the professional she is.
She is the star pupil.
"Isn't this fun?" she asks. He nods, smiling. This is what he wants. He wonders if Autumn and Marty ever took a cooking class.
They leave it to cook over the stove.
"When did you know you wanted to be a chef?" Eddie asks.
"After my stepmom left, we mostly went out to eat or ordered in," Sabrina explains. "One night, he tried to cook and nearly burned the house down." Eddie laughs. "So we went out to eat at a new restaurant. It was the best meal I ever had. That's when I knew. When did you know you wanted to be a dentist?"
"I'm a vampire," Eddie reminds her. "Dental hygiene is important to me." She laughs. "I think it's time I met your father. You already met my mother."
"And I love her," Sabrina says. "She's precious. I'll set something up."

"He wants to meet you," Sabrina tells her father.
"And he hasn't pieced it together yet?" William asks.
"We're lucky that Jones is a common name," Sabrina says. "He doesn't know that Amber is my sister, but it also helps that she's in D.C. You have to pretend you're a normal human. It's not him we want. It's the werewolves and the witches and warlocks. As long as the vampires don't kill any humans, it's not them we're after. And fairies, mermaids, and mermen are really useless."
"I'm after all of them," William says. "But you're right. Our priority should be the wolves, witches, and warlocks. They're monsters."
