The Class of 2014 throws their caps in the air.
Amber takes a picture.
Con cheers loudly.
Off to Syracuse, Kyle will go to study music and exercise science.
After the graduation celebration at Amethyst Café, Con and Eddie walk home.
"Do you ever think what your life would've been like if you went to Ohio State?" Eddie asks.
"I'd be retired by now," Con says. "I would've played for the NFL. Maybe I'd be a coach or go back to school to become a physical therapist. Or I could've become a musician, but I like being a cop."
They walk up to the second floor. Eddie takes out his key and opens the door.
Flameless candles light up the living room.
A bouquet of roses is on the kitchen table.
"What's all this?" Eddie asks.
"Eddie Rosen," Con says. "You've had your heart broken too many times and I want to fix that." He gets down on one knee. "Every time you propose, you get dumped, so I wanted to change that. Best friend, love of my life, will you marry me?"
He takes a bracelet out of his pocket: large black beads with a gold wolf head just like his.
Eddie nods, overcome by emotion. Con slips the bracelet on his wrist. He stands and they kiss.
