"I have a special guest today," Marty tells his class. "Mayor Alvarez."
"Is she going to tell us personal details about her life?" a student asks.
"I'm just going to tell you a little about myself and answer some questions," Clari says. "Who here wants to go into politics?" A few students raise their hands. "I have a Bachelors degree from Cornell and a Masters degree from NYU. I was going to run for the House of Representatives, but I thought maybe I could change the NYPD. Both my parents are cops. When Secretary Li suggested I replace his replacement after the mayor's death, I was honored."
That's right. The Jones family killed another mayor.
"How do you know Mr. Rosen?" a student asks.
"I was somehow sucked into his friend group," Clari explains. "I've worked with Secretary Li and Captain McAllister. They're good people."
"Does Mr. Rosen always tell this many stories?" another student asks.
"And takes pictures out of his wallet," Clari adds. The class laughs.
