Toes in the sand.

Daiquiris in hand.

Con would rather be at some resort like Carter and Tori rather than in another argument with Eddie.

"You what?" Eddie asks.

"It was in high school!" Con defends himself.

"You slept with Amber?" Eddie raises his voice. "You slept with Amber! My first girlfriend. You're my best friend!"

"It just sort of happened," Con says.

"You've done a lot of bad stuff, Con, but I think this takes the cake," Eddie says. "I was falling in love with her and she was falling in love with you."

"I don't know if she even liked me back," Con says. "It was one night."

"While Marty, my mom, and I were with my grandparents," Eddie adds. "So you're saying her son could be yours?"

"He's either a quarter vampire or half werewolf," Con explains.

"I can't believe this!" Eddie exclaims. "I can't believe you! Actually, I can. You slept with Penelope too. At least you waited until we broke up. I don't have to worry about you sleeping with Roger. Unless...do I?"

"That kid needs to know who his dad is," Con says. "He was raised in the human world."

"I can't believe the last ten years have been a lie," Eddie says.

"You were never supposed to find out," Con says.

"I can't listen to this anymore," Eddie says. "I thought sharing an apartment would be fun, but..."

"No, I'm sorry," Con apologizes. "I don't want you to move out. I just need to know if he's mine."

"Breaking news!" They turn to the TV. "A group of humans have attacked Harper's Cove, Massachusetts. The story is building as we speak."

"Those damn..." Con turns to Eddie. "Sorry."

"How can you like Amber but hate every other human?" Eddie asks.

"They killed my mom," Con says. "Silver bullet. Am I supposed to get over that? I have family in Harper's Cove."

"I think I should move out," Eddie says.

"Eddie," Con tries. "I don't know why you're always defending them. Your dad left a long time ago."

"I defend them because I'm half-human," Eddie states.

"All that means is you don't die from what vampires die from," Con explains. "You're able to get better. And you show up blurry in pictures, while full vampires don't show up at all. You're a vampire, Eddie."

"When people want to acknowledge it," Eddie says.

"I acknowledge it," Con says. "I got a lot more to worry about. Nobody likes werewolves."

"I can't make a blanket statement about werewolves," Eddie says. "But I like you. Don't worry until you need to worry."

"Three dead."

"Did you hear that?" Con jumps up. "It's time to worry!"

"I guess I'll stay," Eddie says.
