"And that brings us to the present," Marty says. "Next year, I will be teaching Important Figures of Lilac Valley: Isabella Stone, Carter Li, Con McAllister, Clari Alvarez..."
"Marty Rosen," a student adds.
"You think so?" he asks.
"We like to make fun of you," a student in the back explains. "But you're pretty cool. You don't give us too much homework. Everything you teach sounds like a TV show. You teach us that regular people can save the world. And you have us write our own stories."
"The shield is fixed, the Magic Catchers are gone, and the Anti-Magic Group has been silent for months," a student in the front row points out. "What now?"
"We live our lives," Marty answers.
"Well I have a couple questions," a student in the front row says. "Whatever happened with Con and his dad? Or your dad?"
"Don't say next time," a student in the middle says. "Finals start tomorrow. This is our last class."
"I guess I'll have to send it an email," Marty says. The bell rings. "Good luck on finals! Have a great summer!"

At the center booth in the Amethyst Café, there is: Marty, Autumn, Eddie, Con, Amber, Carter, Clari, Kyle, and Elodie.
"Next month I'll be sending out the invitations for Winter's Bat Mitzvah," Autumn tells them. "Planning is so exhausting!"
"I can't wait to dance to Katy Perry and Lady Gaga!" Marty exclaims. They laugh.
"He's not kidding," Autumn says.
"I'm ready for a nice, relaxing summer," Kyle says. "Play some music, go to some concerts."
"And we both have internships in New York City," Elodie adds.
"I like her better," Con says. "Your last girlfriend almost killed your stepdad...and you." They can laugh about it now. "Clari, we need to find you someone. What's your type?"
"After all this time, you don't know?" she asks. He shakes his head. "We have the same type. Smart guys and pretty girls." She looks in the direction of a woman with short pink hair at the counter with glasses, reading.
"Nice," Con says. Clari smiles. "Go ask her out."
"Am I a part of this group forever?" Clari asks.
"Blood in, blood out," Con says.
"I came back to town almost ten years ago," Amber says.
"So much has happened," Autumn says. "What do you think we'll be like in ten more years?"
"I'm hoping Carter's president by then," Marty says.
"Because you want me to be president or you want to teach the kids about me?" Carter asks.
"Both," he answers. They laugh.
"Lilac Valley," Con says. "I don't think I could ever leave."
