"I saw my sister with Con," Amber says. "We need to tell him."
"He probably already slept with her," Carter says. "I'm surprised it took him this long."
"It isn't funny," Amber says. "You're the mayor. She can't be allowed into this town. Neither can my father."
"You have pictures, I'll give them to the precinct," Carter says. Amber nods.
"When does Con start?" Amber asks.
"Tomorrow," Carter answers.
"We need to talk to him now," Amber states. "Come on."
~
"You can't date her," Amber says.
"I'm not dating her," Con says.
"I saw you two at a Starbucks in the city," Amber says.
"We were just talking," Con defends himself.
"She's my half-sister," Amber tells him. "She's a Magic Catcher like our father."
Eddie's door opens.
"You did what?" he asks.
"I swear I'm not dating her," Con says. "We were just having coffee and talking."
"I can't anymore," Eddie says. "I'm moving out tomorrow."
"Don't you think you're being a little overdramatic?" Con asks.
"You've slept with two, almost three of my ex-girlfriends," Eddie says. "I can't trust you anymore." He returns to his room.
"Thank you so much Amber," Con says. "The only person I like in your family is Kyle and he's my son. You need to butt out of our business!"
~
"That went well," Carter says.
"I need to tell you something and I don't want it to change your perspective on me," Amber begins. "Sabrina's has a charm bracelet that controls magical creatures. Our father has a ring. Eddie was being controlled. Same with Con. Whatever happened. She's getting information, so she and my father can attack."
"Didn't you wear that bat necklace and wolf bracelet in high school?" Carter asks. "But that wouldn't make sense because Eddie and Con still liked you after you stopped wearing them."
"It has lingering effects sometimes," Amber explains.
"Did you leave because you got pregnant?" Carter asks. "Or did you leave because..."
"I couldn't go through with it," Amber tells him. "I couldn't do what my father wanted me to do."
"You stayed with Autumn," Carter says. "You were our friend. You were trying to hurt us?"
"When I got to know everyone and realized magical creatures are just like humans..." Amber tries. "I resented my mother for leaving me."
"Why are you and your sister after Con?" Carter asks.
"I'm not after Con," Amber defends herself.
"Why are they after us?" Carter asks. "Well?"
"Con's grandfather killed mine," Amber tells him. "The Greenbergs and your family are prominent magical families."
"You're only doing this because you're guilty," Carter points out.
"And it's the right thing!" Amber adds.
"I think I need time to process," Carter says. "We need to break up."
