E.K
I did not want to visit my mom today, but I have to. It's my job to look after her at the weekends. I sigh as I get out of my car. It's really cold so I'm wearing about five layers. I don't want to get a cold.
"Hi Mommy." I greet as I walk in and I stop in my tracks as I find Myra sat in the living room. What the fuck is going on? What is she doing here? And holy fuck I really was dating my mother.
"I've been asking to meet Myra for a while." Mom says and I walk into the living room a little more, dread filling my entire body." And now I find out that you've dumped her...for a man."
"I-" I begin but my mom isn't even looking at me. That isn't even true. Richie and I aren't together. Sure, we've fooled around a few times now but we haven't made anything official. I turn to Myra." You had no right!"
"I'm worried about you, Eddie. You're sick and we need you to get better." She says in a false sweetness." Theres...a church, a few blocks away from here-
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I say and I can feel tears. I'm so hurt by all of this." I...I'm not having some guy preach to me about who I love being wrong."
"But you aren't gay!" Mom snaps. I glance at her, tears blurring my vision.
"I am." I breathe out.
"You aren't!" Mom protests.
"I am!" I push, tears really threatening to spill.
"I won't allow it, Eddie. Your poor father would be spinning in his grave if he knew about this!" Mom tells me and my breath hitches at that. I glare at her.
"How-how dare you!" I snap, a sob escaping and tears falling down my face." How dare you try and-and guilt trip me by using my dead father against me! Fuck you!"
"Don't speak to me like that!" Mom roars and I flinch slightly. I sniff and open my eyes, looking at Myra.
"You had no right telling her without my permission. This is my thing to say. It doesn't affect you. It's mine. You took that away from me." I cry and Myra scoffs.
"Is it Richie, the one you left me for?" She asks and I fiddle with the sleeves of my coat. I don't reply." I knew it. You took way too long in that hallway together last week. Then you came back in to tell me you're gay."
"Leave Richie out of this." I reply." He doesn't have anything to do with this."
"He has everything to do with this. He's infected you with his sickness!" Myra snaps and I flinch again. It's only been twice. That night on Halloween and a few nights ago. I was questioning my sexuality before then. Long before then." How far have you gone with him, Eddie? Behind my back. How far have you gone?"
"We've...slept together. Twice. Okay!" I snap in response and I didn't even mean for it to come out. Mom gasps and Myra chuckles evilly. I glance at mom and she looks as if she's going to faint." It isn't a big deal."
"This is worse than I thought." Mom says and I sigh." You're going to that church, Eddie. You need to be cured."
"No!" I snap." No way in hell...you know what, screw you guys. I'm going."
With that, I rush out. I'm faster than them both. Myra is following me, I can hear her. She's calling out my name and saying that they're just trying to help. I get in my car and drive. I drive until I find a phone box. I get out and dial a number.
"Hello?"
"Richie...I-I need you. What's your address?"
"34 Wallow Way."
