NO ONE'S POV
It was in late March, two weeks after Richie Tozier's birthday, that Eddie Kaspbrak got the call. He'd been asleep in his dorm, Richie fast asleep beside him, when the phone had rung. He'd been shocked at first and then the news had settled in, that Sonia Kaspbrak had passed away.
"-and that she wishes that her only son use her money to study at NYU with Myra Jones." Eddie had told Richie as tears fell down his face.
"Don't do it!" Richie begged, tears falling down his own face." Don't go! Don't leave!"
But, Eddie had felt too guilty to decline the offer of studying at NYU. His mother had died alone and it was her only wish, after all. So, by early April, Eddie and Myra had gone. Their memories faded slowly at first and Eddie went back into the closet, living his life once again as a closeted gay man with his overbearing girlfriend who he soon proposed to in the summer of 1999 and then married in the winter of 2000. He became a risk analyst, a job he discovered he hated but was now trapped in much like his awful marriage.
The next to go was Beverly. She left with no explanation but Kay went with her and so did Tom Rogan, who had been fascinated with her. Once her memories had gone, Beverly ended up marrying Tom in 2005, before discovering he was just like her father had been. The two started a fashion company.
Stan and Patty moved shortly after Beverly. They said they wanted a change of scenery and decided to go to Georgia. The two married in 1998. Young and happy and in love with no memory of their friends. Stanley became an accountant and quite a successful one at that.
Ben left in the summer of 1997, not too long after Stan and Patty. He just left one night and his last remaining friends didn't know why. He headed up north and later graduated from his college up there with a diploma in architecture. He never truly forgot Beverly. He still had the page from his middle school year book. He didn't know what she looked like and he couldn't remember their short lived romance. But he remembered how she made him feel.
Bill and Audra packed up and moved to London, enrolling in a university together. They got married 2008 and Bill became a successful writer whilst Audra became a semi-successful actress.
That left Richie. Poor, lonely, Richie Tozier, who had been abandoned by all of his friends and his lover. He dropped out of college not long after Bill and Audra took off. He moved to LA to kickstart his career as a comedian and he was spotted by a manager by the name of Steve Tinsley in 1999. He recognised Steve from college. About the night they almost shared together. Before someone Richie couldn't remember had walked in on them. Richie went back into the closet but often fooled around with Steve, who was also closeted. He turned to alcohol in 2007 but became completely sober in 2012.
Rachel lost all memory of the losers and so did hers and Richie's parents. Her and May broke up in 1999, and in 2006 Rachel married her boyfriend Lucas and they had a son in 2008. She moved near her little brother and took pride in the knowledge of her baby brother becoming a successful comedian. She also was the one who told him to go to rehab.
