“Uhh what are you doing?” I ask uncertainty running through my voice. I was hoping to flip the attention on to him to prevent the battle I knew was about to come.
“What are you doing here?” Ashter hisses blatantly ignoring my question and his attention instead on the guy sitting next to me. I move to get up trying to wedge myself between Ashter and Mason but he glares at me so hard that I throw up my hands and move out the way. I could save Mason after they rolled around a bit but I was not about to be pummeled to the ground as well. Mason gets up from his seated position on the curb, his eyes never leaving Ashters. For a guy who was about to die he sure looked calm.
“Why is that everytime you’re around you're making a move on her?” ashter questions now directly in front of Masons face.
“Well I'm sorry that I’m the one who always has to come clean up your messes.” Mason spits back his arms crossing his chest. Ashter lets out a scoff rolling his eyes.
“My messes? Please. You wanna know what you are?”
“I feel like I have a pretty good idea of who I am but I bet you’re still gonna tell me?” Mason says a smirk on his face. I had to give it to him, that was a good one.
“You are nothing but a guy looking for a good time. Why is it that you always want to be around Sylvie when she's emotionally vulnerable? Seems a little perverted to me. Also how does comforting a “friend” equate to putting your mouth on them?”
“Oh please Ashter. The only one here trying to hide their true emotions from Sylvie is you. I don't understand why you walk around here trying to ignore tha fact that you care for her. I guess you just don't have the balls to do it.” Before I can finally step in to break up the weird “Im the bigger man” showdown AShter throws a punch directly at Masons face causing him to fall back onto the ground. A gasp leaves my mouth and I run to them before thinking twice and running to my house. Yes I wanted to break up the fight but I knew I’d just get hurt instead of helping. I ran to my room and dived under my bed trying to find the thing that was gonna help me break up this fight. After sorting through a lot of socks and empty food wrappers I find it. I hurry back downstairs and outside to see them now on my lawn both trying to get the upper hand.
“Hey!” I shout hoping they’ll stop before I have to use my special item, “Guys break it up I don't want to have to use this.” I try again to get their attention. After they ignore me I shrug my shoulders and raise the thing over my head. I bring it down just enough to get them to stop but not enough to damage them.
“You guys. Need. To. Break. It. Up.” I say while hitting at them between each word. I growl when they keep ignoring me and decide no more mercy. I bring the device back over my head before closing my eyes and swinging at whoever was on top. It makes contact and I hear someone exclaim “OW!” before the rustling stops. I peek open one eye to see them both looking at me, Ashter holding his arm.
“Sweetheart what the actual f***” Ashter exclaims both of them looking at me with pure fear in their eyes.
“Sorry! I tried warning you guys to stop before I had to use this baby.” I say carelessly before patting my little helper.
“You had to use a BAT to break us up!!” Ashter says now yelling.
“Well I didn’t wanna get accidentally punched!” I yell back innocently raising my hands in the air, the bat moving with my movements.
“You could have broken my arm.” Ashter says with a deadpan face. I shrug my shoulders, dropping my arms.
“It’s too bad she didn’t.” Mason mutters causing Ashter to growl.
