"Okay class today we will be learning to let out anger through physical movements!" Summer shouts throughout the small science lab classroom. I feel myself let out a small whimper, still partially asleep from the nap that I ended up taking at Riley's grandmothers. Ashter had decided to be nice and allowed me to take my nap without any interruptions. He did eventually did wake me up though, because we had one of these dreaded meetings. So here I was half awake listening to a very chirpy Summer at 3:00 in the afternoon.
"Sweetheart stop zoning out. She might be saying something important." I hear Ashter harshly whisper from my side.
"You know what Ashter shove your little helpful comments up your behind, I'm tired." I growl back at him the tired and irate Sylvie replying for me. I liked her sometimes she had a little fire to her, but she also said some rude things. Both me and Riley had one of these attitudes hers being worse than mine. He throws daggers at me before looking back at summer a frown now masking his face. I fall back into my day dream daze before the sound of scraping chairs gets my attention. I snap back to reality looking around to see everyone heading towards the door. I get up rushing over to AShter before tapping him on the shoulder. He glances over his shoulder, and once he realizes it's me rolls his eyes and moves his attention back in front of him.
"What's going on?" I ask him as I follow everyone out of the room.
"Oh I'm sorry I don't know, I already shoved my helpful comments up my a**." He says before speeding off away from me. I let out a frustrated breath before turning to some other kid in the group.
"What are we doing?" I ask this kid who looks to be only 14 years old, the question comes out a little more harshly than necessary. He looks at me with wide eyes as he slowly backs up a little the fear evident on his face. I roll my eyes at this my annoyance levels spiking higher.
"Look here kid, no one's trying to murder you just tell me what's going on?" I once again ask this time trying to say it in a friendlier voice. It takes him a few seconds to reply as he stumbles over his words unsure that he should speak.
"Were umm doing a team activity outside. Summer said she would tell us the rest when we got to the football field." He quickly says before turning around and running down the hallway. I let out a shrug before taking my time to get outside. I mean I'm still basically half asleep I could trip at any moment. By the time I get outside everyone is gathered around Summer most likely listening to the instructions of the activity. I jog the rest of the way over, silently cursing myself for not wearing gym shoes.
" The idea of the game is simple. You and your partner must navigate yourselves across the football field without dropping the ball." I scrunch my eyes in confusion as I try to possibly see how this could in any way be challenging at all.
"Now I know what many of you probably just thought. This doesn't sound hard at all." A few people nod their heads to Summers words, and I chuckle as I realize I'm not the only one who thought this was kind of stupid.
"There will be five rounds with this game. Each time you make it across the field, the way you hold the ball will change. There are 8 partnerships here so that means there will be eight lines. At the starting line you may run across the field normally with the ball. When you get to the other side though it will start to get challenging. There are cards with different body parts on them. Whatever body part there is written on the card, that is what you hold the ball with. Both partners must be touching the ball at all times. If you drop the ball you must wait ten seconds before proceeding. If one of the partners aren't touching the ball you must start over." At this a lot of shouts of disapproval arise.
"When I say start over I do not mean from the very beginning I mean with the body part you just got!" Summer suddenly yells over the shouts and murmurs causing everyone to be quiet.
