This may be an out-of-pocket reference if you don't know it, but I'll try to explain it as best as I can. There's this movie about a girl who falls in love with a vampire, and though they get together by the end of the first movie in the second one things take a left turn. The angsty male vampire runs away from the main female character, struggling with his ability to hurt.

He has a villain complex. Anyway, he leaves the girl. Breaks up with her.. Destroys her heart AND takes the rest of the vampire family along with him. No contact. Completely ghosted. The girl obviously takes it hard. No like literally she spends months sitting in front of a window watching the seasons go by (at least that's what they showed in that montage) not eating. Just wondering what she could have done differently, but more importantly, she always wonders why he couldn't just turn her into a vampire.

Well, that's how I'm feeling, minus the wanting to be turned into a vampire. I felt ghosted. Cut off. Shunned away and left in the dark and instead, I feel miserable in his shadow.

"Sylvie, will you please stop giving us the plot to Stephanie Myers 'New Moon'? We get it you're in your Bella Swan era or something." The voice of my best friend cuts me off making me frown. She didn't get it.

"What is 'New Moon"? Mason butts in. Riley and I simultaneously gasped at Mason's question. The impact was too strong.

"You're kidding, right? You know Twilight. The movie caused a divide between teenagers and adults. Men and Women. WOLF AND VAMPIRE!?!?!" Riley shouts getting some looks from the kids around us. Mason just shrugs at Riley's statement making us look at each other horrified. I shake my head. She nods hers and I sigh before looking back at Mason.

"You should have just acted like you knew," I say defeated giving him a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.

"What why?" Mason asks scared at my sympathetic face.

"All I can say is when Riley picks a time and date you're only response better be a yes ma'am," I tell him as I lean back in my chair crossing my arms.

"Hey, quick sidebar. Mason, do you prefer daytime or nighttime move marathons?"

"Huh!?!"

"Ouu Riley can you put me in for the first two movies and the last one." I slipped in wanting to make sure my seat was reserved.

"Boo, you always skip the middle two." Riley points out and I just shrug my shoulders. I knew what I liked. Sue me.

"Hold on hold on. You're coming for three movies but there are still two that you aren't watching. Are there five movies?" Mason shouts making the same high schoolers look our way again this time with dirty looks.

"What's the big deal? You'll be so into it that time is gonna fly." Riley says excitedly as she types something into her phone. A few seconds later Mason's phone notification goes off and he picks up his phone. As he reads the text he just received, his eyes grow wide and he looks up at Riley terrified. I lean forward in my chair peaking over his shoulder before I bust out laughing.

Riley had sent him her premade Twilight movie marathon invitation that she made years ago. This woman was serious.

"Don't laugh!" Mason turns to look at me, "How did she get this to me so fast." He turns the phone to face me and all I can do is bust out laughing taking in the clip art of Edwards's skin that has a glitter effect on it. Oh, this was gonna be too good.

"I'm never sitting with you all again," Mason claims as he gathers his things before heading towards his guy friends seated at the opposite side of the cafeteria.

"Mason wait don't go! I yell after his retreating figure between fits of laughter.

"He makes it so easy," Riley states and I nod in agreement, a chuckle still escaping as I replay the scenario in my head. I let out a sigh the fit of giggles finally slowing down relaxing back into my chair. I watch Riley as she fiddles with the plastic silverware wrapper in front of her and I wait expectantly for what I know is coming.
