Ashter's P.O.V
I look down at the small lump of a human snuggled in my arms and let out a content sigh. It had been an hour since Sylvie had finally stopped rambling on about anything and everything. If it was one thing knew for sure the girl could talk. This was of course after she decided to stop being angry at me. I got it though, what happened was really messed up and I didn't do anything to make the situation better. My mind reels back to the event that happened. It was a storm of jealousy, confusion, and anger, basically everything that perfectly describes me. Despite everything that happened though I felt a sense of pride when Sylvie's precious little fingers caused that much damage to my stupid so called best friend. Guess I have more influence on her than she likes to admit. I let out a laugh at that thought. The idea of Sylvie being a bada** like me running through my mind.
- "don't worry Sylvie you don't have to be a bada** like me you already are one." I whisper down at Sylvie a content smile plastered on my face. My train of thought is suddenly cut off by the sound of my phone vibrating loudly through Sylvie's room. I hurry to pull it out my pocket careful not to jostle the snoring human in my arms too much as I retrieve it. I squint my eyes as the bright light sears my face, I let out a scoff when I see the name on my screen. Colton. Boy did I have some words to share with him.
"Well isn't it nice of you to finally answer the phone?" I say smugly into my phone and I immediately hear Colton sigh from his side of the line
"Dude cut it with the smart aleck crap, you didn't tell her right?"
"I don't know, wouldn't you think that Sylvie would like to know that her best friend and my best friend were going at it heavy in the bathroom, while she was fending off our douche of a friend?" I whisper harshly into the phone. I hear him let out a long groan before taking a deep breath, knowing him he was probably counting down from 10 as well.
"Look man I know that you now know but Riley wants to be the one to tell her. Can we at least respect that? Plus do you think she'd even believe you? She probably would think it was you trying to play another sick mind game on her or something." I feel my jaw clench in annoyance not because of what he said and how harsh it was, but because it was true. Sylvie probably wouldn't believe me if I told her her bff was secretly shagging my friend.
"Whatever man. Just tell your little girlfriend that she needs to come clean," I say before looking down at Sylvie, dried tears stuck to her cheeks. She's been through enough as it is.
"Don't worry man, she's getting told asap. Look I gotta go though thanks for understanding."
"Yeah whatever, just promise me one thing."
"Sure what is it man?" I hear Colton ask his voice sounding full of seriousness. I feel my face form into an evil smirk, "Make sure you use a condom, neither of us is ready to become an aunt or uncle yet."
"Oh f*** off storm I should've known it was gonna be something stupid. We're not going at it just an fyi." Colton barks into my ear annoyance dripping from his words.
"okay my man okay. I'll hit ya later. Don't forget about telling her. I'm serious."
"I won't. Bye man."
"Bye."
I hang up my phone laying it down on Sylvie's antique looking nightstand my head falling back to rest on her headboard. It was crazy finding out that Colton and Riley were together. One second I'm looking for a bathroom to get Masons blood off my hands the next I'm face to face with a lipstick smudged looking Colton and a very flustered looking Riley. It didn't even take a millisecond for them to be on their knees begging me not to spill their secret relationship with Sylvie. I only promised not to blab because I knew Colton was a good guy and he would treat Riley right. Unlike the other douchebag friend of mine. I feel Sylvie start to rustle under me and I tense up as she slowly rises up her tired looking eyes opening to look at me. She lets out a long yawn her hands going up to stretch as she stretches out from the crouched up position she was laying in.
