The coveted day was finally here! After two months of dealing with Ashter and his antics I can’t believe I made it out alive. From the swimming park incident to having friend dinners it was definitely an impactful part of my life that I would never forget. Whether Ashter liked it or not I knew we were remaining in each other's lives in some form until further notice. Dare I even say we would be lifelong friends? Whatever it was he was stuck with me and I was stuck with him. I fidget with my clothes again pulling up the chest area now regretting my choice of a strapless dress. It was a pretty royal blue but the constant need to tug was growing agitating. Nevertheless it was cute and modest and everything perfect for attending ceremonies. We decided as a group to utilize the school's football field and Summer managed to set it up in a nice cozy intimate way. There was a small stage facing a crowd of white wooden chairs, custom made bulletins on each one. There were balloons tied to some chairs as well as confetti gracing the grass. Of course Summer made sure the confetti was biodegradable being the considerate person she was or maybe she just didn't feel like having to pick it up afterwards.
“I’m so happy it's such a nice day! Not too hot, not too warm, oh wait a minute I think I just got a little warmer cause you are smoking!” I laugh as I turn towards my best friend reaching out to hug her as she finally reaches me.
“Why thank you, you’re looking mighty fine yourself.” I tell Riley as I take in her simple yet cute jumpsuit.
“Oh you know all in a day's work.” She says as poses showing off her outfit, “Anyways has Ashter showed up?”
“No not yet. What about Jamie?” I ask her after I confirm Ashters absence. Riley simply nods before pointing towards the entrance. My eyes follow her finger and I let out a loud gasp at what I’m seeing. Jamie is in her dark ensemble like usual but the woman standing next to her is completely opposite. She has on a bright yellow sundress her brown hair pulled up into an elegant bun. There’s a man standing next to the woman a very nice looking navy suit on and a yellow tie to match who I assume is his wife.
“Are those her parents!?!?!” I ask, truly astonished.
“I know right I was expecting some miserable household when I first met them. They’re so nice too,” Riley tells me. I can only stand there with my mouth hanging open my eyes refusing to stray away from the odd family. Some movement to the left of them makes it move though as I spot Ashter. Red, Nico, and Zora not too far behind him. A smile falls on my face and I head in their direction surprised by how much I missed the little ones.
“Nico! Red! Zora!” I yell out as I get closer getting their attention. Zora immediately starts to run in my direction while Nico and Red stall back. I open my arms, catching the little girl a laugh escaping my mouth.
“You look pretty.” Zora whispers to me which I whisper “thank you” back.
“I like your dress too. It’s such a lovely shade of blue.” I tell her making a blush fan her cheeks and a giggle leaving her mouth. The boys finally walk up behind her and I grab Red pulling him into a hug. Once I let him go he backed up quickly, his face as red as a tomato. I then turn to Nico, my hands going to my hips as I look at him expectantly. He narrows his eyes at me and I do the same waiting for whatever may leave his mouth.
“You look hot lady.” He finally says and my facial expression changes once again back to its shocked position.
“How do you even know what hot is?” I ask him, always being surprised by what the 4 year old says.
“Well Ashy taught me of course.”
“Of course he did.” I say as I glance up to Ashter who finally caught up to the group.
