Chapter 30

Elizabeth’s POV

I jumped into the driver’s seat of my truck and cranked up the car while people piled in. This isn’t the first time the cops had crashed the party and we always had a plan. The cops were about a mile away because it was a big field. When everyone had jumped in a truck we were off with the cops behind us. We drove down backroads and overgrown trails until we had finally shook the cops off our trail. Then a pair of headlights came in front of us. This was my secret trail though.

“Hand me my rifle,” I said to Jason who was in the back seat. He gave me the rifle and I loadedj it while the car kept coming towards us. As the car got closer I knew who it was and so did Luke. Luke and Dana never really got along and Dana strongly disapproved of the friends I made after he left which would be why I hurried out of the house earlier. 

“Trade spots with me, fast.” Luke said.

“You are gonna get me killed.” I said laughing as we traded spots then Luke turned the truck around and we left Dana and the boys chasing behind us in the woods. While Luke floored it I rolled down the window. We dropped everyone off at their houses which were pretty close together. Me and Luke were in the truck driving to his house and then I realized Dana was gonna be pissed when I came home.

“Hey Luke, do you mind if I stay at yours tonight? I don’t think Dana is going to be happy when I get home and I don’t feel like putting up with his hissy fit.”

“Yeah no problem,” Luke said as he pulled into his driveway and parked the car.

“Parents out?” I asked Luke.

“When are they ever home?” he asked back with a laugh. Luke’s parents were rarely ever home. We walked inside and sat down on the couch. Well, I laid down while Luke sat on top of me. 

“You are squishing me Luke,” I squealed. Then he started tickling me. 

“Lukeeee!!!” I screamed. 

Dana’s POV

 I don’t trust the “friends” Elizabeth made after I left for LA. After she asked for her boots and ran out the door I knew where she was going. She took me there once and on my way several cop cars drove past with blue lights on. I knew where her secret road was and decided me and the boys would meet her there coming the opposite way. I saw her headlights and then the doors swung open and she got out and ran to the passenger seat when Luke got into the driver seat. He backed up and took off through the woods flooring it leaving us in the dust. Cole was pissed when he saw Luke and I don’t blame him. I got a text from Elizabeth ten minutes later saying she was staying at Luke’s for the night.

I hated Luke, he was no good for Elizabeth. I pulled up Find my iPhone and found which house she was at. We pulled up behind her truck in his driveway. I told Cole to stay in the car while I got Elizabeth. I walked up to the door and right before I knocked I heard Elizabeth scream, “Luke!” Well this was gonna be awkward, I knocked on the door and shortly after it started to open.

“Beth it’s for you,” Luke yelled to Elizabeth.

“I told you not to call me Beth,” she said her voice getting closer to the door, “who would be here this late at night anyways?” she asked as she opened the door.

“What do you want?” she asked as she folded her arms across her chest. Before I could talk I heard a car door shut. I looked off to the side and Cole was walking towards us. 

“Just come home so we can talk things out.” I said.

“What needs to be talked out?” she asked.

“Us.” Cole said from behind me. 

“I’m sorry Luke, maybe we can hangout another time when my friends aren’t in such a bad mood.” she told Luke as she kissed him on the cheek and walked to her car. Cole looked hurt, pissed, and relieved at the same time. 

A/N I know it’s a short update but I just wanted to say 6k reads that’s amazing. I never thought some crappy idea of a fanfiction that I thought of in Algebra class would reach 6 freakin K reads like, I was happy when I reached 20.
