Chapter 9

Dana's POV

I'm walking down the stairs and I see Cole with his head in Elizabeth's lap. She was looking at his stomach.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

She just started blurting out words "I didn't mean to, It's all my fault, I'm so stupid." By now she was crying. I gave her a hug and asked her to explain what happened.

"Ok well we were walking back from the pier last night-"

I cut her off there "Y'all walked all the way to the pier?"

"Yeah but anyways we ran into someone on the way back and-"

I cut her off again "Who?"

"Justin" she said really fast," and he punched Cole in the ribs and now they are bruised."

"Is he going to be able to perform tonight?"

"As long as he can fight the pain for a little while."

"Okay, are you still performing with us?"

"Yeah, I planned on it."

"Good." I say and we start watching TV.

"Hey Dana"

"Yeah?"

"I was thinking-"

"Oh no you were thinking. EVERYBODY RUN! ELIZABETH WAS THINKING!"

"Shut up," she said punching me playfully in the arm. "I was thinking and wondering could I please sing your solo in the beginning of Monsterbia?"

"Sure but, you have to sing it to me right now to prove you can handle it." Then, she started singing.

"I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. Get along with the voices inside of my head. You tryin to save me, stop holdin' your breath. You think I'm crazy. Yeah you think I'm crazy. Well that's not fair"

Her voice was so amazing. I couldn't help but stare at her. Then Gabe and Will were looking at her from the stairs.

"Stop staring at me and say something!"

None of us could come up with any words but then Cole said, "That sounded perfect. Maybe even better than Dana."

"Hey" I said " that hurt bro." I said putting my hand over my heart.

"Okay guys, I have to go get a shower. Cole do not move, Dana make sure he doesn't move, Will, Gabe, and David be out of the bathroom when I come up there." Elizabeth said then started walking upstairs.

"So, I heard what happened."

"Oh, yeah, dude, about that, sorry, I just wanted some alone time with her."

"It's fine, but next time, just pick her up and run to the house. Don't even talk to Justin."

"Haha ok " Cole said trying to sit up.

"Dude, lay back down."

"I don't want to" he whined like a 5 year old.

"Elizabeth said you had to if you wanted it to heal."

"Ok fine, but, hand me the remote."

We turned on the Xbox and started playing Call of Duty. Then Elizabeth came down the stairs with only skinny jeans and a bra on. We all couldn't stop staring. Like what you see she stopped and winked at us before walking into the kitchen. When she came back through she had her shirt halfway over her head.

"I liked the other one," Cole said smirking at her.

"Of course you would," she said, then walked upstairs.

Someone walked through the door and I just point upstairs figuring it's Katherine.

"Well nice to see you too Dana."

"Caroline!" I got up to give her a hug.

All the guys were staring. I couldn't figure out why until I saw what she was wearing.

"Sorry, I just got back from workouts"

"Oh no you are fine," I winked at her," Elizabeth is upstairs."

"Thanks."

Caroline went upstairs and me and the guys just started talking. Then I heard Caroline scream. I ran upstairs only to see Caroline in the corner of the room and Elizabeth with a shoe in the other.

"It's okay," Elizabeth laughed, "It's just a spider."

I laughed then went downstairs. We all headed to the music room including Cole. Elizabeth actually gave him permission to get up. Me and Caroline were sitting on the bench, Cole laid on a bean bag next to Elizabeth, Gabe and David sat against the wall and Will sat at the keyboard.

"Since we have alterations in Monsterbia I say we rehearse it." I say.

"Okay." Everyone said.

We sing the whole song then, the music room doors open and a guy walks up behind Elizabeth and puts his hands over her eyes.

"Guess who." He says.

"Luke!" she jumped up and gave him a big hug, "I missed you."

Cole was getting jealous and you could tell it in his eyes.

"Yeah, I've missed being home."

Apparently Cole had enough and cleared his throat.

"Oh sorry, guys this is Luke, Luke this is Gabe, Will, David, you already know Dana and Caroline, and this is my boyfriend, Cole." She introduced the guys.

"Nice to meet y'all. I'm Luke, Elizabeth is, or might as well be, my second sister. Her and Katherine hang out so much that she just became my sister."

"Oh." Cole says.

"Ok well I just wanted to stop by and say I missed you. Bye." and then, he left.

"It's lunchtime, I'm ordering pizza." Elizabeth said.

We sat around and joked until the pizza got here. Elizabeth jumped up and ran to the door.

"Oh hey, Justin." We heard from the door. Whatever pain Cole was in suddenly disappeared because as soon as he heard the name Justin he got up and ran to the door. He got the pizza, handed Justin the money then closed the door. After we could see Justin go away in his car Elizabeth yelled at Cole.

"Cole Alan Pendery! I thought I told you to not get up"

"You did, but then I heard the name Justin."

All she did was roll her eyes and go to the kitchen followed by Cole. After we ate pizza we got ready for the concert and headed for the hangout.
