Chapter 25

Cole's POV

I woke up and realized that Elizabeth wasn't next to me. She was probably mad at me. I got out of bed and saw that she was still asleep in Dana's bed. There was something different about her. I couldn't put it together what it was though. I leaned over and kissed her and that's when I noticed what was different. I felt betrayal as the cold metal ring pressed up against my lips. I pulled away and grabbed my phone. As I walked out the door I sent Beau a text

To:Beau

I'm coming by...we need to talk.

I walked out of the house and made my way to Beau's shop.

"Did you do it?" I asked him with anger in my voice.

"Do what?" Beau asked back.

"Elizabeth. She has a lip ring and she didn't before I went to bed and you are the only place nearby that would give her one."
"Oh yeah she came by last night." he said very calmly.
"Did you tell her anything."
"I didn't." He said.
"Wait, y'all were hanging out here whenever she came in. Who else was here?"
"Luke and Jai."
"Luke!?," I yelled, "you let her near Luke?"
"She walked in with him." he shrugged.
I threw a punch at Beau. He knew about this and wasn't planning on telling me. Next thing I know it’s a full on fight between me and Beau. Punches are being thrown between us left and right. We kept fighting until James and Daniel came and pulled us apart.
“Calm down man.” Daniel says pushing me against the wall.  

“Don’t tell me what to do,” I said pushing him off of me, “y’all turned her against me.”

“You’re too tensed up, you need to relax. Come by here tonight and we can get your mind off of her.” James said.

“Maybe you’re right, I haven’t had any fun in a while.” I said.

“See ya at 11?” Beau asked.

“Just like the old days.” I walked out of the door back to Todrick’s. It was the final day of filming but we still had to edit the videos.

“When I walked into the house all I could hear was yelling and screaming.

“Cole is going to kill you and anyone who talks about you.” Gabe yelled at Elizabeth.

“I’m not his property. I can make my own decisions.” she yelled back. 

I walked into the room and shook my head in disapproval and left. I have to admit, she looks pretty sexy with a lip ring but, I couldn’t say that because then I’d be a softie. Elizabeth tried to run after me but Dana stopped her. 

We finished filming around noon and I didn’t feel like editing so I decided to go meet the guys for lunch. We met up at Beau’s shop and Jai brought the food. As soon as Luke walked in all eyes were on us. I felt like getting up and beating him up but, I decided to keep my cool.

“So are you guys up for drinks tonight?” Beau said breaking the silence.

“Yeah.” everybody agreed and then we all split. All except me and Luke. 

“Look man, if I find out you even get near Elizabeth again I will kill you.” I told Luke.

“Fine, but if she comes running towards me I’m not pushing her away.”

I gave him the death glare and walked out of the shop. When I got home Dana told me I needed to at least talk to Elizabeth. I asked where she was at and they said after I left she ran up into the room, locked the door, and wouldn’t let anybody in. I walked upstairs and lightly knocked on the door.

“Go away Dana I don’t want to talk.” she said through her sobs.

“Will you talk to me?” I asked. 

She opened the door and her cheeks were tear stained and her eyes were red. I walked in and closed the door and sat her down next to me on the bed. 

“What do you want to talk about?” she asked putting her head down .

I slowly put my hand under her chin and lifted up her face so that she was looking at me in the eyes. I pulled her closer and put our lips together. It was different with the lip ring I have to admit. I pulled away and looked her in the eyes and said “I love you.”

“Really?” she asked back.

“Forever and always,” I said smiling at her, “please stay away from Luke though. He’s bad news.”

“Okay.” she said but it came out more like a question. “What are your plans tonight?” she asked and she sounded excited.

“Me and the guys are going out.”

“Oh,” she said and the smile immediately dropped from her face, “have fun.” She got up and walked out of the room. I texted Beau to make sure him and the guys were still on for tonight and they were. I got ready and walked out of the house to Beau’s shop.

When I got there Daniel had already brought the alcohol. Everyone showed up and we started taking shot after shot.

“I bet you can’t drink that whole bottle in less than 30 seconds.” James dared me. I picked up the bottle and did it. 

“Told ya I could. I still got it.” I say slurring my words.

Elizabeth’s POV

“I sat in bed worrying about Cole. He had left 5 hours ago and still hadn’t showed a sign of coming back.Finally the door slammed shut. I put on my robe and walked downstairs. Cole was standing there and his eyes were bloodshot. You could smell alcohol when you got near him.

“Hey babe.” he said slurring his words.

“Where were you Cole? I was worried sick.” I yelled at him.

“Calm down baby,” he said putting his forehead on mine.

“You’ve been drinking.” I said pushing him away from me.

“So?” he asked me as he moved his hands to my waist.

 I pushed him away and told him to stop.

“Stop being so demanding!” he yelled as his hand made contact with my face. I felt a stinging and then tears started forming in my eyes.

I went upstairs. Cole followed closely behind me. I got in bed and Cole got in next to me and pulled me close to him. I tried to break out of his grip but I simply couldn’t. 

When I woke up Cole was holding his head.

“Hangover?” I asked.

“How did you know I was drinking last night?” he asked confused.

“Do you not remember last night?”

“No, what happened?” he asked.

I just rolled my eyes and he gasped when he saw my face.

“Did I do that?” he asked referring to the bruise on my face.

“Yeah.” I said putting my head down.

“I’m so sorry Elizabeth, I don’t know why I would ever do that.” he said getting up and wrapping his arms around me.
