Elizabeth’s POV

I am honestly scared right now. I’m staying in the same house with people who could kill me at any time. At the same time I felt protected by Cole but this was a different type of protection. It was cold, violence threatening anybody who looked at me. Cole practically became a completely different person. He never smiled, only smirked, he showed no weaknesses and he was drinking. As you would imagine, there is a lot of alcohol through the house and Cole would drink it with the rest of his buddies nonstop. He wouldn’t let me drink though. This was a different side of Cole I had never seen before. I was ready to go home but Cole wasn’t so I was forced to stay here. As far as I know he had not talked to any of the guys in days. While he was out with the guys I looked on his phone and he had messages from Luke. They were things such as: I know where you are hiding her, I’m gonna get her, You can’t hide her forever. I suddenly felt scared and then I heard the front door open. I slowly came out of the bedroom and walked down the hall. Luckily, it was just Cole and Marcus. They sat down on the couch and turned on the TV, now was my chance to get Cole alone and possibly get him to take me home. I decided I had to get him away from Marcus and to do that I had to get him to the bedroom. I was willing to do this even if it meant I had to be a tease. Fanfictions don’t fail me now.

I walked into the large room and sat down on Cole’s lap. He smirked a little but never said anything so I decided to lean back onto his chest, resting my head on his shoulder. He still didn’t do anything so I realized I had to up my game. I placed small kisses on his collarbone, all the way up his neck, then lightly bit his ear. I could tell that this was working because he was holding back a moan.

“Come on babe.” I whispered into Cole’s ear as I got up and walked back to our room with Cole following close behind. He shut the door behind us and pushed me down onto the bed crashing our lips together. He pulled away for a moment, just long enough to take off his shirt before continuing the kiss. This was going way farther than I had anticipated, I pulled my lips away from his and he started kissing down my neck.

“Cole, babe stop.” I said as I put my hands onto his chest.

“What’s wrong princess?” he asked me.

“I really want to go home.” I told him.

“Sweetheart, we can’t go home now.” he said tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear.

“Please, I just want to be home with you and the guys. Not here alone while you are out with Marcus.” I said with tears in my eyes. Cole gave me a hug and promised we would go home soon. Then he left me sitting on the bed alone. I fell asleep for a while until I woke up to someone calling my name. It wasn’t Cole or Luke, I had heard the voice before but I couldn’t remember who’s it was.

“Elizabeth, it’s me, Marcus get up. You are coming with us.”

I groaned before I got out of bed. Marcus walked out so that I could get dressed. I put on a pair of black skinny jeans, a plain white T-shirt and my black vans. I made sure Cole’s bandana was still tied around my wrist and I walked out of the room.

Cole and Marcus looked like they were arguing about something but they stopped when I walked out. Cole came over and put his arm around me and we walked out to a car. Once we got in Marcus started talking to me.

“Okay Elizabeth, we are going to pull up to a shop. You are going to bring this cash and this package in there and tell them it’s from Marc. Then you will walk back out to the car and we will go somewhere else.”

“What’s in the package?” I asked. It was such a stupid question and I knew it was drugs but I was going to see if Cole would tell me.

“Nothing, just get in and out fast.” Cole said.

“If it’s nothing then why can’t one of you do it?” I complained.

“Because the cops are looking for me. They won’t suspect anything of you.” Marcus explained to me. I looked at Cole not believing he was letting, no, making,  me do this.

“Here,” Cole said handing me a small gun, “just in case.”

We pulled up to a tattoo shop and Marcus handed me a package and cash. I got out of the car and walked inside. There was a guy at the register and he was looking at his watch as if he were waiting on something.

“This is from Marc.” I said placing the cash and package onto the counter.

“You Mark’s new delivery girl?,” he asked but before I could answer he talked again, “nah you ain’t gotta answer.” He walked to the back of the store and I walked out and back to the car.

“See Cole, she’s fine, a natural at it.” Marcus said as we drove off. Cole seemed upset but I don’t know why.  He was making me do this. I did the same thing for a couple more stops then we pulled up at a large house.

“Marcus. She’s not doing this one.” Cole spoke before Marcus gave me the things.

“C’mon Bryan doesn’t know her. Plus the cops have been patrolling this area. She’s a natural. It’ll be fine” Marcus said to Cole. Before Cole could say anything I took the things out of Marcus’ hands and walked to the door. When I got to the door I told a guy I needed to talk to Bryan, he led me inside to an office looking room. I walked in and put the things onto the desk.

“From Marcus,” I said motioning to the packages.

“Marcus?” he questioned. I nodded my head yes.

“Since when have you been with Marcus?” he asked me. Before I could say anything a voice behind me said, “She isn’t.” It was the one voice I never wanted to hear. I turned around and there he was, Justin.

“Look at her wrist. Red bandana. That’s not Marcus, that’s Cole.” Justin explained to Bryan. Bryan looked at my wrist and up at Justin. I gathered that Cole and Bryan didn’t get along. I reached for the gun tucked into the back of my pants. I decided I would shoot it in the air to stun them and run. Bryan was talking to Justin while I planned my escape in my head and Justin moved to my side. Right before he could grab my wrist I pulled out the gun and shot into the air. After that, I ran. I ran back the way the man had taken me in and I jumped into the car before locking the door.

“Go!” I yelled at the guys who were just staring at me. When we got back to the gang house I explained what happened to the guys. Cole looked like he was about to kill someone. Marcus on the other hand was pretty cool about it.

“Cole, I’m fine, everything is okay.” I reassured him trying to calm him down.

“I need some alone time,” he said as he walked away.

“Cole wait.” I said trying to catch up to him.

“I said I need alone time what part of alone don’t you understand!” he yelled at me. I stepped back from shock and watched Cole walk out of the door.

“Just give him some time,” Marcus said as he put his arm around my shoulders “ He’s under a lot of stress.”
