Chapter 23

Elizabeth’s POV

After hanging out with Danielle for the afternoon I went back to my house and ordered pizza. The guys had gone out for dinner so I decided it was a Netflix night. I put on my favorite pair of yoga pants, my favorite fuzzy socks, and I may or may not have stole one of Cole’s hoodies. After the pizza arrived I paid the delivery guy and sat down on the couch. I finally found one of my favorite disney classics movies, Robin Hood. I covered up under a blanket and slowly drifted to sleep.  I only woke up for a brief moment when someone picked me up and started walking. before they could take three steps I fell back asleep.

I woke up to someone shaking me and calling my name. I was still wearing Cole’s hoodie but somehow I ended up in my bed and there was a dark spot on my pillow and my cheeks were slightly wet.

“Elizabeth, princess what’s wrong?” Cole asked.

“Nothing,” I said slightly confused.

“You started crying in your sleep. Were you having a bad dream?” 

“No, I didn’t even know I was crying.”

“Okay,” he put his arm around my waist and pulled me close “ I love you,” he kissed my cheek.

I looked at my alarm clock and it was 10 in the morning.

“So,” Cole broke the silence, “are you coming with us to LA? Or nahh?” 

“Yeah, I guess I’ll come hang out with you losers.” I said ruffling his hair.

“Well start packing. We leave tomorrow morning.”

“Seriously?” I asked.

“Yeah”

I spent most of the day packing and singing since the guys wanted to go to the beach. One thing I missed about being alone was singing. When it was just me and Dana we would sing together all the time. Both of us didn’t think we’d get anywhere with our voices. It’s glad to know at least one of us was wrong. The guys came in and Cole immediately asked me if I had finished packing.

“Almost.”

“Okay, we have to leave here at 4 am so I’m gonna go ahead and put your bags in the car when you finish.”

“4 am? I’m not waking up that early.”

“Sorry piglet, you are gonna have to.” Dana joined the conversation.

“Fine, but I’m going to sleep once we load the plane.”

“That’s fine with me.” Cole said.

I finished packing and then laughed at Cole’s attempt to carry all three bags at the same time. Eventually he made it and all the guys got showers and immediately fell asleep. I couldn’t sleep though I was way too nervous about the plane ride tomorrow. It was 3:30 when I fell asleep only to be woken up 30 minutes later. After 1 hour of driving and going through security we finally boarded the plane. We sat down and out of exhaustion I put my head on Cole’s shoulder and fell asleep.

I briefly woke up to get off the plane and ride to Todrick’s house. I went to my room that I shared with Cole and Dana and fell asleep again. When I woke up it was 8 am and I had a lot of energy.

“Cole, Cole. Cole, Cole, Cole, Cole.” I say poking him.

“Mhm.” he says back still half sleeping.

“I know what I want to do while we are here.” I said getting excited.

“And that is?” he asked with his morning voice and it sounded quite sexy might I add. 

“I want to get a lip ring.” I said.

His eyes shot open and he looked at me.

“I know I look bad but you don’t have to look at me like that,” I said jokingly, “besides all I said was I want a lip ring.”

“No.” he said then he got up, put on a shirt and left.

“Dana, Dana, Dana, Dana.”I said getting up and shaking Dana.

“No, I’m not taking you to get a lip ring.” he said.

“Fine.” I huffed and went to go find David and Gabe, they would take me to get a lip ring.

I met David and Gabe downstairs and told them what I wanted. They agreed we would sneak out tonight and I’d surprise Cole in the morning.

“Talking about Cole where is he?” Gabe asked.

“I don’t know? I mentioned lip ring and he left.”

They kinda gave each other a look and David slightly nodded his head.

“Is there something I’m missing out on here?” I asked.

“Yes...”Gabe trailed off.

“But you can’t know.” David finished.

“What? You can’t leave me hanging like this.”

“They just did piglet,” Dana said tapping his finger on my nose causing me to scrunch up my face, “you don’t need to know anyways.”

“Y’all seem a little off. Is everything okay?”

“Yeah, everything is fine.” Gabe said.

“I’m going to take a walk through the park.” I said putting on my shoes.

“Okay, be careful.” Dana said. Something wasn’t right but I didn’t know what it was.

I was walking through the park when a group of guys caught my eye. They all had a red bandana. One wore his on his wrist, another around his head, another had it tied around his belt loop but the whole group had a red bandana. While I was looking at them I saw a familiar face. It was Cole. I ran up to him.

“Oh my gosh, You are okay!” I said as I wrapped my arms around him. He quickly pulled me off. 

“Who’s this?” A tall guy with brown hair and a lip ring asked.

“This is-” I cut Cole off.

“I’m Elizabeth, Cole’s girlfriend.”

“Girlfriend?” he asked giving a smug look at Cole.

“I can’t believe you are okay with him doing this. I’m Luke by the way.”

“Doing what?” I asked.

“Oh he hasn’t told you has he?” he said.

I looked over at Cole and he was looking at the ground.

“Cole?” I asked him.

“I’ll explain later.”he said never taking his eyes off the ground. 

“Well it was nice meeting you, Luke.” I said then started to walk away.

“You too hottie.” he winked at me.

Cole was starting to get mad and you could tell it in his eyes. He was now glaring at Luke and his eyes were grey. 

“Don’t call her that.” he said through gritted teeth.

“And if I do? What would you do? Fight me? in front of her.” Luke said testing Cole’s limits.

“Elizabeth leave.” Cole said not breaking his stare at Luke.

“Are you really gonna let him control you like that?” Luke asked.

“Elizabeth leave. Now.” Cole said moving his deathly stare from Luke to me.

I left but, decided this wouldn’t be the last time I talked to Luke.
