Chapter 24

Elizabeth’s POV

When Cole came back to the house not a single word was said between us. While he was filming I caught up with Gabe and David.

“Hey guys I found someone else to take me to get a lip ring thanks for offering though.” I said. They gave me a questioning look but never said anything. I got in bed with Dana that night since me and Cole still hadn’t talked all day since the incident. After they both fell asleep, which didn’t take long I crawled out of bed and got Cole’s phone. I found Luke’s number and texted him from my phone

To:Luke

Hey it’s Elizabeth. Could you meet me by the piercing shop next to the Starbucks. I really want to know what’s going on.

It didn’t take long for him to reply

From:Luke

Sure thing hottie ;) Be there in 10.

I slowly made my way out of the house and walked the little way to the small shop. When I got there Luke was up against the wall smoking. 

“Hey let’s go inside.” I said making him suddenly jerk his head my way.

“You’d better be glad I was thinking because otherwise you’d be out cold right now. Why do you wanna go inside anyways?” he said putting his cigarette butt on the ground and stepping on it to put it out.”

“I didn’t come to the shop for no reason. I’m getting a lip ring but, I wanna know what’s going on.”

“Mmm a little feisty aren’t you?” He said tucking a piece of hair behind my ear, his face getting closer and closer to mine. 

“Sure,” I said pushing away from him, “now let’s go.” I said walking into the shop. He had no other choice but to follow me in.

As I walked in I could smell ink from the tattoo section of the shop.

“What’s Cole’s girl doing in here?” the guy behind the register asked Luke. I remembered seeing him in the group with Cole earlier.

“Ms. Hottie here wants a lip ring.” Luke said talking to the guy.

“I’m surprised Cole’s okay with that,” he said holding his hand out, “I’m Beau.”

I shook his hand,“he doesn’t really know anything about this.”

“Getting a little sneaky there aren’t ya?” he asked.

“Yeah, can we just get this over with before they notice I’m gone.”

“Sure,” Beau said and started getting his things ready.

“You must not know the same Cole I do.” Luke told me.

“What do you mean the Cole you know?” I asked him.

“He hasn’t said a word about any of us has he?” Luke answered me with a question.

“No, how does he know y’all anyways?”

“Wow you really are clueless. I knew Cole was good at keeping secrets but not that good.” Beau said.

“Tell me what’s going on already.” I whined to the two guys.

Just then the doors opened letting the warm summer air come into the shop.

“Jai can explain, Beau come tell me where you put the stuff.” Luke said walking towards the back of the store.

“So, yeah, Cole is the leader of our gang.” Jai told me walking in the direction Beau and Luke went.

“Gang? Nice joke, Cole is way too sweet to be in a gang.” I tell them.

“Sorry sweet cheeks but, he is and he’s the leader.” Luke said walking back over to me.

“C’mon lets get your lip pierced so you can go back home before Cole notices you are gone and kills us all.” Beau said.

I got my lip ring on the bottom left part of my lip. Beau told me it might hurt for a couple of days but I had a high pain tolerance so I doubt I would feel a thing.

“Me and Jai gonna walk you back home. People know you are Cole’s girl now and there are some people who would do anything to make him fall.” Luke said as I walked out of the shop.

The walk home was mainly silent I asked a couple questions but they didn’t seem interested in answering. We got to the house and stood in the driveway for a while. All of the sudden I was nervous to how Cole would react in the morning. I knew Dana would be mad but he would get over it within 5 minutes. 

“Everything is going to be alright,” Luke said putting his hands on my arms. The next thing I knew Luke crashed our lips together. He took my lip ring in between his teeth and lightly pulled making me let out a small moan. He pulled away far too soon.

“This isn’t right, Cole would have me dead if he knew about this.” Luke said, he sounded almost disappointed. 

“I guess we won’t have to tell him then.” I said.

“I like you, you’re very rebellious.”

I laughed then I realized Jai wasn’t there. Luke told me that he went to settle some business so I didn’t ask anymore. I turned to the house to go inside when I realized David was on his balcony looking down at me and Luke. 

“I um... I have to go.” I said to Luke and started running back to the house. When I walked in the door David was standing right in front of me.

“What was that?” he asked but he wasn’t mad, he had a smirk playing on his lips.

“Nothing.” I responded looking at the ground.

“It sure didn’t look like nothing,” he said putting his hand under my chin and lifting my face up, “I like that lip ring on you, makes you look sexy.”

“Thanks, I’m going up to the room before Cole notices I’m gone.”

“Okay, see you in the morning.”he said as I walked up the stairs.

“Oh, and please don’t tell Cole about Luke.”

“My lips are sealed” he said pretending to zip his lips and throw away a key.

I walked into the room quietly and slipped into bed next to Dana just like I did when I fell asleep. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.
