Paris had a strange way of softening everything, even the parts of him he had carefully kept guarded.
That morning, Taehyung was already dressed, standing near the window as sunlight spilled across the room. The city looked alive, glowing in a quiet, elegant way. But his thoughts weren't on Paris.
They were on her.
On Jisoo.
Somewhere between yesterday and today, something had shifted. He didn't know when. He didn't know how. But he could feel it. This pull, this quiet connection that refused to be ignored.
He exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair.
What are you even thinking, Taehyung?
This wasn't supposed to happen.
He wasn't supposed to feel this.
He wasn't supposed to forget the truth.
And yet...he had.
Lost in his thoughts, he didn't even realize she had stepped into the room.
"Let's go?"
Her voice pulled him back instantly.
He blinked. "M-mm?"
Jisoo tilted her head slightly, studying him. "What are you thinking?"
"Nothing," he replied quickly, straightening. "Are you ready?"
She smiled softly. "Yeah...let's go, Tae."
Tae.
The nickname lingered in the air.
Something about the way she said it. So natural and so effortless, made his chest tighten.
He shouldn't like it.
But he did.
They spent the day exploring the city, walking along quiet streets, visiting cafés and laughing over small-meaningless things.
She was enjoying Paris.
But he...
He was enjoying her.
Every glance, every smile, every little habit of hers. He noticed everything. The way she tucked her hair behind her ear when she was nervous. The way her eyes lit up when she saw something new or interesting.
He was losing control.
And the worst part?
He didn't want to stop.

Two days passed and they had already explored most of the city but Jisoo insisted on taking him to a restaurant she loved.
"It's really good," she said, her eyes bright. "You'll like it."
"It's your place," Taehyung replied, leaning back in his chair. "You order."
She smiled and called the waiter, ordering something in fluent French. He watched her, amused.
When the food arrived, he noticed something.
"You asked for less spicy?"
She nodded casually.
"But you like spicy food," he pointed out.
She looked at him, as if it were obvious. "You don't."
He went quiet.
A strange warmth settled inside his chest.
