The afternoon felt unusually still.

Not quiet, just waiting.

Inside a small café tucked between the busy streets, sunlight streamed through wide glass windows, casting soft patterns over the wooden tables.  The faint aroma of coffee lingered in the air, warm yet heavy, like the conversation that was about to unfold.

Jennie sat by the window.

Her fingers circled the rim of her untouched cup, her thoughts louder than the chatter around her. She had called him here.

And for once, she didn't know how to begin.

The soft chime of the door broke her thoughts. She looked up.

Taehyung.

He stepped inside, scanning the room until his eyes landed on her. For a brief moment, something unreadable crossed his expression but it disappeared just as quickly.

He walked over.

"Hey."

"Hey." Jennie replied softly.

He took the seat across from her.

A silence followed. Not awkward or unfamiliar. But different.

Because this time, they both knew something was about to end.

Jennie inhaled slowly, steadying herself.

"I'll say it first," she murmured.

Taehyung leaned back slightly, giving her space. "Go ahead."

Her fingers tightened slightly around the cup.

"I don't think...I love you anymore."

The words came out softer than expected but they didn't shake.

Taehyung didn't react immediately. He simply watched her carefully.

Jennie let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding.

"I tried to understand it," she continued, her voice steady but quiet. "What I felt before, it wasn't fake. But...it changed."

She paused.

Then looked up at him, really looked at him.

"And I think...I was holding onto something that wasn't meant to stay."

Taehyung's gaze softened. He nodded slightly.

"...I understand."

Jennie blinked.

There was no anger from his side. No surprise. Just acceptance.

She hesitated for a moment before continuing.

"There's someone else."

A faint smile touched Taehyung's lips.

"I know."

Jennie's eyes widened slightly. "You...know?"

He let out a small breath, leaning back in his chair.

"I saw it," he said simply. "The way you look at him."

Her cheeks warmed slightly.

"...Yoongi." She said his name carefully, as if saying it out loud would make everything real.

And it did.

Taehyung nodded.

A quiet pause settled between them.

Then, he spoke.

"Then I should be honest too."

Jennie looked at him and for the first time. there was no fear in her eyes. Only clarity.
