Jungkook stood at the doorway, quiet this time. No glare, no impatience, just a small-unreadable smile.
Taehyung, holding Jisoo protectively in his arms, felt his grip tighten around her as he sensed Jungkook's presence.
"She's sleeping," Jungkook said softly, eyes flicking toward the girl nestled against Taehyung.
"You should tuck her in," he added, voice calm but firm.
Taehyung nodded, carrying Jisoo carefully in his arms. He laid her gently on the bed, adjusting the blankets over her as though she were the most precious thing in the world.
When he finally looked back, Jungkook's gaze was fixed on her, full of unspoken admiration.
Clearing his throat, Taehyung shifted his attention.
"Let's go out," Jungkook said, exhaling. "We haven't hung out in a while."
Taehyung hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

Outside, the morning air was crisp, and the silence between them stretched for a moment before Jungkook broke it.
"Jisoo and I...had a small conversation after shopping."
Taehyung turned toward him, a sudden unease settling in his chest.
"I asked her out," Jungkook said, voice steady.
Taehyung froze. The sharp gnawing feeling back on his heart.
"I confessed my feelings," Jungkook continued. "She...she knows. Well, of course she does. How could she not?"
Taehyung clenched his fists, jaw tight.
"And?" he asked finally, voice low.
Jungkook chuckled softly, a warm sound that made Taehyung uneasy.
"She never lets anyone get close to her. She pushed Jin hyung away, she pushed me away because she only wants one person. And that's you. She only wants you, V."
Jungkook's words sank in, hitting Taehyung like a revelation he had both feared and hoped for.
"And I know you love her, too," Jungkook added, smiling. "You just needed the courage to admit it."
Taehyung blinked. "You...were there the whole time?"
"Of course," Jungkook replied lightly. "I came to check on Jisoo. I didn't expect to witness...a bold Jisoo though. She really loves you, V. And I'm glad you're finally clear about your feelings."
He paused, eyes sharp but kind. "So now, don't waste any more time. Go and tell her you love her too."

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the house...
"Hey, get up!" Jennie's voice rang through the living room.
"Hey, you cat guy, get up!"
"Hey, sleepyhead!"
Yoongi groaned, pulling the blanket over his head. "What do you want, Jennie? Let me sleep."
"I want attention!" Jennie exclaimed, swaying slightly. "So grumpy cat, get up!"
"You're drunk," Yoongi muttered, blinking at her unsteady stance. He looked around. Jin was snoring on the couch, Jimin and Hoseok were acting ridiculous, Lisa and Rosé were long gone. Only Jennie remained, grinning.
"What do you want?" he asked, sighing but sitting up anyway.
"Attention," she repeated, leaning closer. "I want attention from you."
"You're drunk. Let me take you to your room," Yoongi said.
"No!" she insisted. "Just talk to me. Don't ignore me like V."
"He's a jerk," Yoongi muttered with a disgusted frown.
"I know...a total jerk. But I loved him," Jennie said, voice soft but firm.
"Then why not forget him and love someone else?" Yoongi asked cautiously.
"Like who?"
"Anyone who would love you back," Yoongi replied.
Jennie's eyes sparkled mischievously. "You? Anyone...that's you. I can love you."
Yoongi's throat went dry and he looked at her, surprised. He gulped, words failing him.
"You're really drunk. Go to your room and sleep," he said finally.
"No! From today, you are my boyfriend. From today, I love you and you will also love me. Okay?"
She cupped his face, forcing a nod from him by shaking his head up and down with her hands, before pressing a quick-soft kiss on his lips. Jennie pulled away and collapsed, asleep almost instantly.
Yoongi sat back frozen, staring at her with eyes wide like saucers.
Licking his lips which now had a hint of cherry like sweetness imprinted, he exhaled shakily and ran a hand through his hair.

Jisoo woke up, noon sunlight streaming through the window. She groaned, clutching her head and looking around.
"Why do I always end up in Taehyung's room when I get drunk?" she murmured.
A voice startled her. "I have the same question," Jungkook said, stepping into the room with a glass of lemonade.
"Jungkook?" she asked.
"Here," he said, handing her the glass.
She drank it all in one gulp, then looked at him.
"You...have something to say?" Jungkook asked, raising an eyebrow.
She hesitated. "Did I...do something stupid last night?"
"You don't remember?"
She shook her head.
Jungkook's expression softened. "Really? Because Taehyung's going to be...really upset to know if you actually don't."
"What do you mean?" she asked, puzzled.
"You can ask him when he comes back," Jungkook said, smiling faintly.
Jisoo's eyes narrowed. "Where is he?"
"Who's he?" Jungkook teased.
She rolled her eyes. "Taehyung."
He chuckled. "Okay, don't get annoyed. He went out. Said he had some important work to do."
"Important work?"
"Yes. But I don't know what. Don't ask me again."
"And everyone is packing," Jungkook added. "You should get ready too."
"For what?"
"You forgot? We leave today. Day after tomorrow is Namjoon and Jihyo's wedding."
"I know," she replied, a hint of confusion in her voice.
"Then go get ready," Jungkook said, walking toward the door. "And whatever Taehyung is doing...it's for your own good."
With that, he left, leaving a dumbfounded Jisoo staring after him.
